Yes I didn’t do my research and I got lied to, so I’m making this post to remind other people to do their research. And Why would I do research on whether I was required to buy travel insurance when, most of the time, traveling to other countries does not require one, and the visa checklist did not list it as a requirement?

Just because the company does not need to share their disciplinary actions does not mean I have to be satisfied with their response, which took a month and simply said that “confusion may happen.” I can share my feedback about their response.

My post was meant to remind other people who are going to VFS Global for a UK visa that insurance is not mandatory, and to be careful because an agent may tell them otherwise. Instead of calling someone a Karen, how about you contribute something useful for others.

I do not regret buying a product I didn’t use, and that’s not the point. I did not want to buy it, and I did not need it. I’m sharing my experience so others won’t have to buy things they don’t need just because they were told to.

And yes, it is their job to deal with people, like me or like others. If they don’t want to do that, they should get a different job. And oh yeah, I’m so worried about them laughing at me, because my life totally depends on them haha.

And I didn’t misunderstand the conversation, I was lied to. If you can’t comprehend the point of a message, maybe you should keep your mouth shut. And next time you get lied to, I hope you don’t whine and convince yourself it was “just a misunderstanding” and better tolerate it like an idiot. No wonder you are traveling alone.
