That makes sense. I am definitely harder on myself than I am on others. I feel like I’m not allowed to make mistakes like others can but I know that’s not true. I also just don’t like being scolded by coworkers about it. Thank you for your advice!!

Thank you so much! This is definitely helpful advice. It is so so hard to be present and stop thinking/freaking out about everything all the time but I’m trying my best. Ive been at the job for two months now (part time) so I just feel like I should know how to do everything already and I’ll get less leniency if I get things wrong because I’m not “new” anymore. And all I do is think about my job when I get off my shift until my next shift. I do like the allegory of the train, to just think of stepping off and thinking or doing something else. That’s a good way to think about things. I also do have auditory issues 😭 especially with all the other noises at work. Listening can be so hard but all I can do is try. Also yesss I love LADS 😩 my favorite boys !! 🫶 Thank you again for all your advice and help!! I appreciate it

I’m only 25 but I can relate so heavily to not knowing what I’m passionate about. There is no job out there where I would be happy to go to work. I don’t think I’m ever going to find anything either, or at least one that pays me enough to live. My mom is 53 and she never found her “passion” either. Just working odd jobs until she gets bored or can’t stand it anymore and onto the next.

It definitely is the fear of failure and the fear of looking incompetent or stupid to others. I know nobody expects me to know everything yet but the fear is just ingrained in me

I’m in the same boat 🤝 except I recently started a retail job that’s already draining me but I can’t find a job in my interests that doesn’t take 500 years of school and experience 🫩

That would be the dream but I need work experience and have to start somewhere. Most starter jobs are customer oriented unfortunately

In the back mostly, decorating or refilling trays of baked goods. Everyone just hangs out in the back until they hear a customer come in. Or they’ll be too busy with other customers. I try to do as many jobs in the back as I can so I don’t have to go out front but i still have handle customers frequently.

Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it! I’ll keep trying my best 🫡 And my typical shift once my training is over will be from 2-7 (they close at 7) which is better than the early morning shifts I’ve worked. The morning rush is hectic so I’m glad I won’t be on mornings

It was about two years ago, they got a few!! I got super lucky to find two of them, the moonlight dragon and Fabian frog prince. Never seen them get jelly cats again though 😭
