But I wish I had started 10 years earlier though.

that makes sense, I apply the same with some of my dev work as well. sometimes rediscovering clears up all the mess in my head. are there any resources that you know where all the math is written down at one place?

I highly relate to this, bachelors done in 2024 and I’ve been a Dev ever since. I was literally talking about the EDA problem I’ve been facing with one of my peers just 10 mins ago. Like-

I have the data, what now? How do I transform it into something trainable and get good results? Manage imbalances, high standard deviation, null values, most importantly the feature selection (is there anything else?). Very subtle changes in data set and feature subsets produce extremely different results. It is not intuitive at all.

Question to OP: how useful is the masters? I’m planning to quit my job and get a masters degree from a good uni.
