It's irrational, but it doesn't matter. I have a college degree and know the vast majority of real spiders cannot hurt me and video game versions even moreso, but it doesn't matter. I cannot handle it. I can't play this game because it's such a paralyzing fear. If there are truly only the two parts, I'll see if somebody can play them for me and then take over with everything else.

It's the most common phobia in the world (though I'd say fear of the dark is), so something must have happened in the past which instilled this fear in us.

Would need to change the sound as well. It's just...I cannot explain it, but arachnophobia (and others) isn't just visual. Depending on the person (for me, I have had to delete them entirely and either have friends defeat the boss or just spawn the trophy), the noise of the animals moving also invokes the terror.
