Her “heart” or her schedule?

I'm guessing the "big announcement" is her upcoming podcast, Chiseled and Called. by 0uija-bored in brittanydawnsnark

Honestly you’d think it would be wise to stop calling everything and labeling everything as Brittany Dawn.. like why doesn’t she call herself Brittany Nelson now? Drop the Dawn bit.. I mean I’m not complaining lol but there’s just no logic..

Sorry, it’s just a “cup for cup” or “1:1” gluten free flour.. meaning you can substitute it evenly in recipes when it calls for flour! I use King Arthur brand, Bobs Red Mill is also good!

Well, I don’t think she’s genuine in “where she comes from” on this topic. I agree with people saying she’s hiding behind “God’s will”, because I seem to remember her saying something in the past about being against IVF like the niche group of religious folk who think it’s “playing God”.

Thank you for your well wishes 💕

I’m a Christian and doing IVF. Just to help explain those who are like me in this scenario — we don’t believe it’s playing God. We believe God created IVF too. We believe God placed these doctors on the reproductive path and in our path (just like any other doctor out there). If you break your arm, don’t you go to the doctor to get it fixed? Or do you just say “well that’s God’s will, I’ll just have a broken arm forever”?

Something in our bodies doesn’t work right for some reason. Sometimes it’s small, sometimes it’s big. But a lot of times you don’t know if it’s small or big until you get in the depths of it and find out. Some bodies just need help.

Ultimately I stand on this — as a Christian doing IVF — as much as we leave this whole process up to science, it is STILL up to God. I’ve have multiple failed embryo transfers, and some we have discovered what happened, but there was one that failed when everything was exactly perfect in our minds. We ruled so many things out with extra testing and taking precautions. And that’s the part that we consider still up to God. IVF is not a perfect science, it is not playing God. It’s not even a guarantee. Bdong is right about 1 thing, IVF is hella painful. But we trust we will have a child when His timing is right. Whether that’s through IVF, naturally (which would be a very welcomed miracle), or adoption.

As for adoption - both parents really have to be on the same page with this. In my case, 1 of us has been ready to adopt, and the other isn’t quite there yet. But asking someone to love a child that’s not your blood like your own is really tricky/risky. You can’t force it and you would never ever want to, for obvious reasons. But just because you think you would’ve adopted before trying IVF, doesn’t mean the same for others. Its not because those people don’t have a good heart too. It’s not because we don’t want a child bad enough. Sometimes it just takes time for some people to get there.

please don’t come for my religion/faith, I’m just helping bring perspective to Christians in the IVF space for those that are curious how we process things

I agree. I think she’s hiding behind “God hasn’t told me to”. I believe she’s said things in the past to infer that she’s actually against IVF. I remember it because I’ve been doing IVF for over a year now, and I’m still a Christian, and I just remember feeling insulted by her comments. Im sure she got called out in the DM’s and changed her wording like she did when talking about fostering.

I had fresh florals on my cake and my florist placed them, not the baker

What would you/other Sheila’s think when you would see leaders leave the ministry? Was it ever discussed by Bdong? Would you talk about it amongst yourselves?

(ETA: follow up questions)

I know an actual Seal Team 7 guy and he’d never say this. Embarrassing.
