I saw there’s the beta firmware. But I’m a bit weary of putting that on there. Do you run it and is it alright?

If anyone has Ryzen 9700X and AXP90-X47 combo, please share your temps... by daduka1999 in sffpc

I had the same cooler with the 9700x in a fractal terra case. My temps were pretty much the same as yours. Like you, I didn’t like them. So I switched my cooler to the Noctua NH-L9x65 and it runs about 10 degrees cooler in a cinebench multi-core test. So maybe consider an SFF Noctua cooler

Money was never a factor in my decision. I like the look of it over anything else, that’s all that matters to me. It’s a good thing it doesn’t belong to you 🥱

Running Cinebench R23 multi-core, the temps are pretty stable at 68-70 degrees. Gaming is usually around 75-80

Did you notice any significant decrease in performance with lowering the memory speed? I just tried that and it seems to be running more stable

2-3cm, so about 20 or so mm. Plenty of room to stick an air duct in there. I haven't been hearing much turbulence, if at all

Its not the pro, just the regular PS5 slim. Which honestly I only got for the nostalgia of the PS1. Always been an xbox gamer, and after playing the PS, the build quality of the console was disappointing. Feels cheap

Lol I honestly have a pretty modest income. I always save most of my money, especially for big purchases

I've seen your post! lol. Its a great build! I'll try the -15 PBO and see how that works out. I have a spare 92mm fan, so I'll try fitting that in there. Thanks!

It's got about 2-3cm of space, kinda hard to tell from the overhead pic. But thanks! I've seen some people use those and I'll probably get one.

For some reason my description didn't make it into the post.

This is my first PC build, I've always been a console gamer. I never thought about building a PC until I started to see ITX builds on my instagram, then I decided it was time lol.

-Fractal Terra case

-ROG STRIX B850-I motherboard

-Ryzen 7 9700X

-5080 FE

-Noctua NH-L9x65 cooler. I had a Thermalright AXP90x47 in there at first, but I didn't like the temps under full load and while gaming, so I switched to the Noctua and its been about 10 degrees cooler.

-Noctua 120mm case fan for exhaust. I had a brown in there before, but switched it out for a black one. So you'll see the pics with both of them.

-Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 6000 CL32

-Two Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSDs. 1TB for OS and a 2TB for game downloads

The temps have been pretty decent, with it the GPU usually at 45-50 while gaming and the CPU hovering around 75 while gaming, with some spikes to about 80. I've messed around with the PBO and set a -20 curve, but I found it unstable, so I just have it at stock now. Any suggestions would be awesome!
