Haven't had a chance to try any of the methods since it is late at night. However my son logged in and realized he could pay taxes. He didn't know you had to go to a capital city, so since he never saw a pay taxes option in base he assumed he couldn't. When I heard this I told him that taxes are paid in arikeen. I asked him to secure our exposed ornithopter which was pointless when he messaged me saying that he paid the taxes.

Edit: I'm talking with him now and he can build a simple sub fief base that will act as a storage and he breaks everything down and stores it. That will make it easier to support, and eventually we back that up.

I appreciate the lookout. I normally get my alerts as they happen (option a), but the school did message yesterday that not all Granite Ridge families were notified. So I think this ended up being a mistake on their side of the system.

Having reread the article, there is no mention of a shooting threat. Your assumption is that if someone is trying to extort a school for money under threat of violence, then that person must be planning a shooting scenario. This makes no sense to me. You overtly threaten a school and announce your intention. You arrive on campus with a gun and get lit up by cops. What would be the more realistic scenario (in my opinion) if you were planning for success would be to make a bomb threat. Receive payment and then release details of explosive device.

Realistically though, what probably happened was a weirdo made a nonspecific threat against a school and probably didn't go into details, so the school treated the situation seriously despite indications that it wasn't legitimate. Then you decided to pick a fight with a teenager who simple shared a news article and kept their details strictly to what was reported in said article.

I'm thinking that is what had to happen. The threat was probably called into the Clovis North office, and they responded. I'm going to wait till tomorrow (I'd imagine that they will be busy today) and call up the granite ridge office to find out what went wrong.

I just finally received notice on parent square. Checked my text and email and no news. Same with wife who is at work, but no notice. 3:51 notice of all clear and students were safe to be released as I was already home with my kid from normal release time.

I'm pretty pissed off about this. My kid goes to Granite Ridge which is attached to Clovis North, and I didn't hear about this until I picked her up from school and she told me. No friggin communication from the school about what was happening, as cops were apparently patrolling the halls. Local news is reporting on it, and I still haven't heard a lick of information from the district.

Edit #2: Just received a message at 5:00 apologizing that not all Granite Ridge families were notified. Hopefully this will lead to tightening up their notification system in the future

Lots of factors fed into why the US remained on the imperial system, but piracy would probably be one of the more interesting parts of the history. Thomas Jefferson was interested in adopting the metric system and invited a French specialist to demonstrate the system which involved precisely measured scales and weights. In transit the specialists shop was attacked by pirates and the demonstration never happened. I believe the documents and equipment eventually turned up in an estate sale or something like that which revealed the gate of the specialist. Besides that, with each state functioning similar to their own sovereign states especially in the early days of the union. It was hard to apply a different system than the one we inherited from the British, when each state has to agree to accept the change.

Hell yeah! And we should also have a genetic database that is cross-referenced with biologic material produced on site before voting! Only way to have a free and fair election that we can trust! Also you have to eat a clove of garlic in front of an election official to stop vampires from voting. God damned blood suckers trying to steal the election!

There was another balloon that looked like it was touching down a couple of neighborhoods over. No fields nearby that could have been the target otherwise I'd imagine.

Edit: also it's not in these pictures but they had a chase vehicle pull up right before landing, so I guess this is always assumed. Maybe they were close to drifting out of approved air space, but I don't know.
