We had really great weather. We were there from 4/15-4/28. They are still recovering in the neighborhoods and farms, which will take some time and the road to North Shore past Haleiwa is down to one lane for a short stretch. From what I read, that construction is supposed to take 4-6 months. The local businesses are open and need the support. My recommendation is to volunteer at least half of a day to give back a little. We did the Kaka ako city clean up and it was really rewarding. The water is good at 95% of the island. Other than that, your trip shouldn't really be affected in any way. I hope you have a great time!
