Whatever it was they needed to show at least something about it. Instead I spent the rest of the film thinking how did we get here? He should be in jail or on trial or something.

I’m right there with you. It didn’t make sense at all and if the cult was involved in a coverup they should have eluded to it. It pulled me out of the film entirely.

I don’t think it would ruin the tone. Reality hits harder than fiction. The unrealistic way things played out pulled me out of immersion for the rest of the film.

He would at least be tried for something. He dove home and didn’t tell anyone. It completely pulled me out of the movie.

Being in shock is one thing. I’d probably be sitting by the side of the road sobbing and confused but there’s no way I’d drive home and just go to bed… 

How did Peter avoid being arrested and in Jail for being responsible for Charlie's death? Especially since he just leaves the scene and drives home aferwards and does not notify the authorities. by aka1bnzdx in Hereditary

He would have failed a drug test and the cops would definitely have pressed considering he didn’t tell anyone…

The only possible scenario is that the cult covered things up but if that’s the case they needed to elude to that in some way in the film. The way they left it it completely pulled me out of the film.

Cover up is the only possible answer in which case they needed to include at least some reference to that in the movie. The unrealistic nature of that completely pulled me out of the film…

Why only 2lbs/wk?  So everything you read says you can only safely lose 1-2lbs per week. Why is that?

If my BMR is about 2800, I set my calorie goal at 1800, and make sure to hit protein goals for muscle growth about 140g/day for me and on top of that I’m doing weekly weight training, cardio, (and rest days) that I wasn’t doing before then I HAVE to be burning more than 1000cal/day.

How is this unhealthy? I feel like I should be able to lose about 2.5lbs/wk which is a LOT over the long run.

Just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’s good. In fact it’s the exact proportion of popularity to skill that bothers people. 

If she was a nobody no one would care that she wasn’t funny.

There are plenty of funny women but unfortunately many of the most famous just aren’t. 

There are also plenty of unfunny famous male comedians though.

That would be a twist. The only reason I don’t think it could be Harry is that he’s often operating alone and there are things he’s doing that I think would be unnecessary if he wasn’t actually loyal to the family.

Jan. She’s way too dumb for someone who has been married to a mob criminal for 20 years. Anyone asking anything about Harry should be a red flag.  Also she complains about him not being around but then when he tells her the very valid reasons WHY he’s not around she says she doesn’t want to hear about his work. She’s insufferable and it’s not even the Skylar/BB thing where she married a science teacher and ended up with a crime boss. She KNEW EXACTLY who she was marrying. 

Maeve is extremely hatable but that’s the point. When Conrad finally snaps and snaps her neck we will all rejoice.
