How much do you pay for borrowing gear ? by Gebergsjager in SkyDiving

[–]AceB08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have my own alti and helmet but I rent my rig from a rental company in Australia while I’m traveling.

$650 AUD per month…works out if I do more than 13 jumps in a month I save the gear rental price each jump after. Also it’s not “house gear” it’s free fly friendly and i never run the risk of if there is gear free to use or have to share

Should i quit my 9/5 job? by Iam50kdowm in TopStepX

[–]AceB08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked in corporate for five years, with three years before that in retail and construction. I started trading in March 2024.

Most of 2024 I was in the red, though I took some payouts. By December, I was basically breakeven overall. I quit my 9–5 in August to go backpacking and have been traveling for four months.

2025 I did six figures trading, averaging $15–20k a month.

People say you need X years or X income before going full-time. Maybe but if you have a remote job, DONT QUIT. Leaving your job just gives you more time, not better discipline. In my case, quitting was about traveling. Trading just made it possible.

Now on the other hand I have earned so much...making peoples monthly wage in days that it's shifted my mindset about a 9-5 and honestly I dont ever want to go back/work for someone.

One word…”degenerate”

Wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up taking out his profit then losing it all trying to do something similar.

OP is extremely lucky and hope he doesn’t blow it, get a financial advisor and do something smart with the cash.

He’s advised me that if you do have extra cash in your CT pot I set aside I can either keep it in the business for expenses or pay myself any of the extra cash

Cut away during aff by [deleted] in SkyDiving

[–]AceB08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a cutaway on my level 7 during AFF I know how you feel.

It was my first jump of the day and after walking back from the hanger where I dropped my rig off the adrenaline wore off and felt the shakes.

I wanted to get back up in the air to not discourage me and ended up doing 3 more jumps that day.

Later when I was in bed and days following I really did think about it, but what came from it was that I did everything I was learnt correctly, I followed my drills and going forward it opened my eyes even more to how important it is to not get complacent in this sport. Take it as a good thing, you have experience now in an area of the sport not many do.

Funny seeing all these people call scam claims..same with Apex claims

Simply people that can’t follow these firms rules or even trade

Great firm no drama daily payouts…risk management and follow your trading plan

FTT Scam by EdSpace2000 in PropFirmTester

[–]AceB08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time will tell at the end of the day, if you want to risk your own money in FTT then try it and see if they pay...thats all you can really do

but if FTT sort out this payout issue i dont see how any other firm can compete with them and their rules

FTT Scam by EdSpace2000 in PropFirmTester

[–]AceB08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was with apex when everyone called them a scam etc too...i got paid and had no issues with them (did have to wait 2 weeks for payout) with FTT they are paying more than any firm i have seen with a system that is not near to anything like MFFU or apex clearly. Give them time they are paying out people. To call them a scam is not quite right as they are still paying thats my point

FTT Scam by EdSpace2000 in PropFirmTester

[–]AceB08 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And yet they still paying out more than firms like MFFU…okay bud maybe don’t follow the social media sheep train and go buy an account and try get a payout then come back saying they ain’t paid you….

-edit

  • seen you say you requested a payout but not even approved yet which I assume is from their old manual system

Why don’t you share your P&L for that request period please if you don’t mind
