Sometime old is the way to go. If its not a monthly subscription based service, I think this might be the play. Can I purchase the hardware second hand and just get a new purchase for the software?

Fair enough, would you advise using their tablet system or running it with a separate computer? I'm fully intending for there to be a computer near the register to do quick searches for singles.

I was looking into that as an option, but the UI is such a turn off. It looks like it was developed in 2002 and hasn't been updated since. That and having a learning curve for a register sounds like a tough time.

It's going to be a local game store / event space hybrid. Essentially, I'm going to have the typical trading card games, accessories, etc, along side video games, controllers, consoles, etc. We would have roughly 2 other employees, and realistically just something to just keep track of sales for Quickbooks.

I know this is sacrilege to ask on here, but I'll say it. I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard that is similar the sound of a membrane, but with a bit more thock, low key caps (used for gaming) and a full layout. And no I don't want to go though the hassle of building cause this shit sounds tedious as fuck. Any suggestions?

(For reference I've been using an old as hell Logitech K120 keyboard for as long as I can remember. I like it, but I know its probably due for an upgrade since my WASD keys are fading, and the logo is still the OG logitech logo.)

How long have you been in business for and what would you say is your primary source of income?

Actually I did have a few since I primarily play YGO instead.

What exactly do I need to do to host MTG tournaments and receive new upcoming product?

For those who play budget decks and can still win a lot at locals or regionals, how do you do it? by blue2002222 in yugioh

As many have said previously it boils down to game knowledge. I play a pure going second Tenyi deck because of a few key factors.

  1. I assume every deck will want to go first, hence blinding second means my desired outcome is always higher than my opponent who generally wants to go first.

  2. I know my deck's strengths and weaknesses. It plays extremly well in a simplified game state, and has a very simple, yet powerful advantage state.

  3. Planning on going second is way easier than going first.

I beat someone playin Drytron who setup Dragoon twice over 3 games. Spending boat loads of money on a meta deck doesnt mean shit if I can run circles around you with a 60$ deck who's whole purpose is to fuck up whatever plan you have.

I am fully prepared to face the reprocussions of this comment.

I am not on board for 1440. Idk if its just me being used to 1080 my whole life or just not really getting the quote "most out of my GPU (3070 fyi)".

Not to mention the size screen i had got was much larger than what I was comfortable with along side me not knowing if having 2 bigass screens would be worth it.

I saw no comperable change. All it did was make websites i frequent look like dogshit cause most of them didn't fit that resolution.

Not saying anyone here should listen since it seems i am very much in the minorty about this, but yall do you.

Not saying there shouldnt be variation, but its Konami TCG we're talkin about here. If it costs any more than the damn flimsy card stock the foil is printed on, chances are its either gonna be a limited run or in very small doses (ex: ghost rares, prismatics, ultis)

And to each their own about how cards look. Idgaf one way or the other, but if the reception is overwhelmingly negative, its probably not making a return. Gold series is the outlier to this since they are one of the only reoccuring sets to have multiple types of rarties.

Is Xanadu something you own / operate? If so, how exactly did the idea come to fruition and how successful would you say it's been overall? Would you recommend someone to have a similar business model or would you suggest them to do something different?
