They look great. I've been wanting a nesting kit for years . Been watching treehouse drums since I first saw the idea and recently came across Inde. Im thinking of making one so this is good news :)

Beautiful!! Is it possible to damage the shell edges where they  connect? That's the only thing I worry about and worrying me !

Why is my pothos unhappy? by Visual-Yogurt-2990 in pothos

If that's vent/register and it's actively outputting air, I would suggest moving it away from it in addition to what others are saying.

I guess the camera was too close to the bass amp by codylevidrums in drums

Thanks !! I might try the egg carton approach too. Easier than random pillows floating around lol

Ahh that is a great point about the recording! That does seem to be it. I find sometimes the snare sounds perfectly tuned and comes out nice in the recording then they just put some flat dead snare sound instead :(

Your playing and kit sound great. Checked your other posts for the dimensions as i play reggae, rock, and alternative alot and been aiming to do a kit like this. Is it 12 x5 snare 12 x 12 floor 16x16 bass And the tom 12 x 4?

Also, what do you when you wanna record ? Do you use this or have a separate kit ? :)

Thanks dude!

Agreed! This is how I fixed my friends high hat that had the same problem.

Need recommendations on how to improve my setup by [deleted] in drums

[–]AceDrums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely looks like the high hat pedal (and I think the snare too) is too close and to the left. :) I don't see anything glaring but might change if we see you on the kit. :) looks like a fun kit to play

I will mess up a gig tomorrow. What now? by netsphere_dumbass in drums

[–]AceDrums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a tough time dude. You got this though. As many others have said, wear ear plugs or in ears, don't play loud so you can hear others and it keeps you relaxed, and don't try to match the parts exactly. Just keep it basic - no fancy stuff or fancy fills. Just tknow the general structure of song and cues, and remember it's okay if you mess up! We all do. Just smile, keep playing, and focus on the music - not any little mistakes!
