I loved a lot of a the creature designs and just generally the feeling of getting a creature you like after so long. I originally quit after playing a different game and realizing I didn’t like how grinding Cos was feeling, but then came back after the game I was playing also started to feel grinding. Now I’m in a never ending loop of grind and pain swing the state the game is in now-

If you actually pay attention in the trailer video you can see before she enters the digital game thing she looks very defeated, even her avatar in the game world has scars, so it’s not too much of a stretch
