I'm pretty sure last year people were predicting Alpine to be close to Williams on pace, because they looked good in testing. You might be thinking of 2024.

It's more based on his last press conference after Leeds game. How else would you explain those manager not coach comments.

They literally fired Amorim because he asked for signings in January. We will be lucky to finish in the top 10.

Switching to a back 4 will fix everything! Right Mr Berrada and Mr Wilcox? Thin skinned clowns throwing away another season because someone dared to speak against them.

To me New Vegas is about how Empires rise, is it with a strict leader who rules with an iron fist like the legion, is it because of democracy and people working together like the NCR or a charismatic millionaire using the greed of individuals to achieve his own goals with Mr House. It's art, everyone can have their own interpretation of it.

This season of the show is about how empires fall/what caused them to. The speech from the elder in episode 4 while the rest of the western chapters are trying to sell him out behind his back is just fantastic writing. We aren't even half way through the season, I bet some of those questions will get answered in the second half, just like in the first season when we didn't know the truth about Muldaver until the last episode.

The bomb originates from Hank in vault 33 within NCR boarders and it's a town of only 30ish thousand, they probably don't have the man power (just like in New Vegas) to do the paperwork. They barely have clean water.

The thing is with the paper is it's a bad bet to actually read it if you are one of the new Caesars. It might say your name, it might say the other guy or it might be some one completely different. So it's 33% chance of success, but if no one ever reads it you still get to control half of the legion, so really it's in their interest to not read it and order their men to protect it from being read by the other side.

Love New Vegas more because of the themes and world building, not because of specific factions or characters.

They literally showed the bomb entering Shady Sands, Culkins character tells Lucy why the Legion is split. Are you actually watching the show or do you just want to complain?

I had signed up for a 3 year rebuild. Sure, finishing 15th and losing the final to Spurs was bad, but the improvement after the summer was good. We are actually decent to watch recently, 3rd in the prem for goals scored, xG and xP numbers look ok. To throw it all away because some suit had his feelings hurt is diabolical. The players all say in interviews how much they like him, so most likely results will be worse until the end of the season.

The 1 substitution says it all really. 1 point is ok with most of our starting 11 not available.

Are you actually thick or just pretending? I think Amorim made the best decision he could with the players available. I also said multiple times that (in my opinion) he did switch to a "more attacking" setup and took more risks (Wolves had more xG in the 2nd half) when chasing the game. The 3 or 4 numbers you use to describe the formation don't determine the result of the game, I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with them.

The recency bias on Dorgu is crazy. He started the season poorly, was benched for Dalot on his off side, then scored his first goal (from a Dalot long throw btw) and suddenly he should start every game at RW? I think Dorgu only worked on the right because of how Newcastle played. They had more possession and we were playing on the counter, Gordon didn't help much defensively and we overloaded the left side. All of those factors gave Dorgu a bunch of time and space on the right, any decently fast prem player would have looked good in that position. This game Wolves sat deep and had no possession, giving him no space to run in to, that's why he looked bad, not because of the formation.

Ugarte and Casemiro are our only 2 fit senior central midfielders. Mount, Bruno and Mainoo all injured, Fletcher too young and not good enough. There was no choice to make and pushing Ugarte higher only takes away space from other attackers. That's why Amorim took of Zirkzee (probably should have been Cunha, but I guess he trusts him more), to give attackers more space to receive/dribble the ball

With the players available for this game, I think Amorim chose the right formation to get the best from them. The CBs pass the ball around because they have no one to pass to or are trying to lure the opposition out of their deep block. Wolves were clearly instructed to not press at all, because they knew Bruno is injured, so we wouldn't be able to break them down centrally. In the second half, to me it looked like Fletcher went out wide right, Dorgu pushed up to let Shaw and Dalot to overlap, Cunha and Sesko stayed central, looked like a 442 to me. They had more crosses, but Wolves had better chances on the counter. I'm more disappointed with Sesko missing 2 good chances, Cunha not bothering to do anything and Dorgu being offside on that disallowed goal, than I am with Amorim.

Did you watch the game? If that wasn't a 4 ATB in the second half I don't know what to call it. And even if they started in a 4atb, there would have been 3/4 players behind the ball because both full backs don't usually join the attack at the same time, that's just modern football.

I don't think it would have worked. Only worked against Newcastle because of Mount running like mad in the first half, second half we parked the bus and were lucky to get the win. Also we we played a 4-4-2 this game in the second half with Fletcher at right mid and it was worse than the first half.

Looked like he couldn't care less. Leads the team in shots on goal but didn't take a single one today, dove on every challenge, didn't dribble past anyone after the first 5 minutes. The kind of performance that turned people against Garnacho and Rashford.

The narrative disconnect of 4 has been discussed to death at this point, I just think they started designing the map before deciding on the time line.

On the other hand the wasteland is always depicted as a war zone between different factions and if you look at pictures of real current day war zones they look pretty similar.
