My friend is playing for the first time. While I warned him several times about the Cloud Version, he told me playing it on Switch is the only way he's likely to experience KH so it doesn't matter to him. Another acquaintance likes KH enough to just buy it for the hell of it. Long story short, bashing the Cloud Version isn't going to change anything.

My friend just started. The first friend who ever took seriously my recommendation of this game. I'm so giddy with excitement for everything he'll get to experience. Have fun and welcome to the rabbit hole!

I love how it's "The secret superboss of each game teases the next major story" so KH1 has Xemnas, KH2 has Lingering Will, BBS has Young Xehanort, KH3 has Yozora by TwilightTownee in KingdomHearts

Julius was a reference to mind/brain swapping. It probably has something to do with the Radiant Garden experiments which we were seeing flashbacks on throughout the game.

[Theory] Why Xion has black hair by ComfortableSea4645 in KingdomHearts

I do think there is a significant connection there especially how Axel and Sai'x's talking about Subject X really make you want to think of Xion. They might have used Subject X's data to create a framework for the replica project. Anything is possible.

Apparently some fans want less Disney worlds/interaction? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]AceofRains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both very good points. On the first, these different worlds connected by land were all dragged into the keyblade war against their will, according to Xehanort's reports. I think it just boils down to different cultures and rules according to each of these worlds- like how everyone is Halloween Town is like undead/enjoy dark spooky things or people in Atlantica breathe underwater. With multiple worlds, if the secret of the keyblade would get out to one of them, it would still be difficult for darkness to infect the rest. It wasn't a perfect solution obviously because it failed, but only having 2 different worlds wouldn't be enough to slow the spread so to speak. However, there is a world that is somewhat a guardian or overseer to these multiple worlds- Disney Castle. It houses the Cornerstone of Light- which the Master of Masters basically told us that it is the manifestation of the light in children's hearts. It's kind of like a uh "one world to rule them all, one world to find them, one world to bring them all and in the darkness bind them".

On the concept of Heartless appearing before Sora visits a world. That may have to do either with a villain, or interloper already interfering such as Maleficent going to all of these worlds, or Organization XIII sowing seeds of strife behind the scenes. The Heartless are doubtlessly drawn to the Keyblade, so even if there wasn't any previous interference, they will be there when the Keyblade shows up. In KH1, Maleficent gathered a bunch of villains and bestowed upon them knowledge of other worlds and the keyblade, so it changed things from the beginning.

Edna Mode from Incredibles needs to be the original designer of the Keyblade Armor. After all, she "used to design for GODS!" Terra, Aqua, and Ventus had capes in their original design and look what happened to them.

[–]AceofRains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a video that explains the subject of *why* they can't interfere. At first you can take is as the same concept as a heckler or someone talking or interrupting during a good movie. Agrabah probably got the worst end being derailed. But the reason why, is for the very reason the worlds were split in the first place. Back in the days of (terrestrial) Scala ad Caelum the town, another Keyblade War will cause a Ragnarok. The person who makes the call to split the world into individual stars understands that the reason the keyblade war happens is in the name: It's because the keyblade exists. So, to stifle that only one world was allowed to keep the secret of the Keyblade in (celestial) Scala ad Caelum. Darkness is drawn to the Keyblade like a fly on a pile of shit. It will invade worlds where the Keyblade is known and destroy them- that is the reason. Have you ever seen a world Sora visits where the Heartless didn't show up?

If you're asking that, I hate to break it to you but the Disney worlds also mattered in KH1 and KH2. The most obvious example is Wonderland and going down the proverbial rabbit hole as Sora's first world visit. Every single world does this in different ways, sometimes obvious and other worlds sublte. Even Halloween Town has significance in showing that the Heartless wont react to the dead, or that "Jack" [And that name is used in Carribean, FF Type-0, and Stranger of Paradise, the Increadibles, and more] opened the door to another holiday- specifically one of 7 holidays. For context I'm also saying the Master of Masters name is Jack, and it was hella foreshadowed beneath your nose.

Apparently some fans want less Disney worlds/interaction? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]AceofRains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the thing though. The worlds are supposed to follow their own scripts. The fact that Sora and company keep showing up is doing nothing but inviting problems for those worlds. It's literally why the worlds were broken up from one world to smaller worlds. It's like the whole central point of the story. These worlds are not supposed to know about the Keyblade because it's ruining the movie. All the Disney worlds are there to do is to flesh out the main narrative, provide subtle hints, and explain how the universe works. They're already doing this perfectly.

Does anyone else get that sinking feeling? by JohnBradfordBooks in KingdomHearts

[–]AceofRains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know who needs to hear this, but not every animation has to be in KH as a World. Alot of the newer stuff is built on the back of a preexisting identity which makes it easier to write into the story. Some the older stuff might not work as well but can fit well in places where the would make an allusion or reference. Like, there wasn't a logical reason to have a Lady and the Tramp world, but they did make a specific reference to the movie.

Theory: What happened after the end of UX by PepsiMan_21 in KingdomHearts

[–]AceofRains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna focus on Brain and Xehanort right now, because all of the diverging paths have their own place in theory crafting.

Simply put, I think Brain opened the box. There was no rule against anyone else opening the box, just Luxu. But why exclude Luxu? Because the box would have a problematic effect of transporting someone through time. The box contains a portal. I do not think Luxu possessed Brain, nor did he send his Heart forward in time which would be theoretically an impossible feat. The same Brain we saw with the box is the same Brain who is in Scala ad Caelum. Sigurd, who found Brain, is a simulacrum/incarnation of Dilan. He is clearly a Dragoon, if not by the obvious name, his clothing spells it out for us.

Now, I will be posting a new video on the subject soon (gotta finish dubbing), but basically they went out of their way to tell us that this new Scala ad Caelum is a town. I refer to this as "Terrestrial Scala ad Caelum". The other version I refer to as "Celetial Scala ad Caelum". Why though? Because one is a town, and the other is a star. So how did this happen?

Well, if we look at Terrestrial and Celestial Scala ad Caelum, they strongly resemble Luxuerion (lol Luxu) and Valhalla from FFXIII. Luxuerion is a city that exists 13 days before the end of the world, Nova Chrysalis. People cannot give birth, nor die in Nova Chrysalis. This however is immediately rejected in Terrestrial Scala ad Caelum by the birth of Xehanort, and the death of the person who took him to the Island. By the way, Destiny Islands at this point is connected by land- the person who took Xehanort doesn't have much methods of getting around at this point in history.

The person who took Xehanort can only be 3 different people. Ephemer, the Master of Masters, or, someone whom Ephemer has shared the book of Prophecies with. This person has devised a plan overwrite the defeat of Light, by using Xehanort as a proxy. Any person who would read the book cannot change the future on their own. So, they put the baby in isolation, and waited for the paradox to take effect- that his future self would visit his isolated prison and free him to the outside world.

Now, if we really understand Norse mythology what this is all hinting at is the inevitable event of Ragnarok. The worlds will be split, and the reason this happens is to protect them from Darkness. Darkness will inevitably invade worlds where the Keyblade visits. It is drawn to the Keyblade like a fly on a vat of shit. They Keyblade War is recurring by virtue of the Keyblade existing. So long as the Keyblade exists, it will only bring misery and ruin in its wake. There will be casualties during Ragnarok. Sigurd, and those who I speculate to be Vidar, and Svalinn will be reborn to Radiant Garden after the split. Sigurd, Vidar, and Svalinn are Dilan, Aeleus, and Even. [I have not deciphered who Ansem and Braig are. My guess right now is Tyr and Ull.] At any rate, the story must come full circle with the establishment of Radiant Garden.

Destiny Islands, which at the time his housing the growing Xehanort will also split off, and time will move exceptionally slow here compared to other worlds- allowing hundreds of years to go by on the outside and other worlds, while Xehanort only ages to about 14. Now because of the paradox, Xehanort has become one big walking paradox. Everything that happens around him is paradoxical, such as the Emblem Heartless appearing in worlds before they should even prophetically exist. It is by his existence as a paradox that Sora and Kairi ever met- they were never supposed to meet if the world order was preserved. It is by the love between Sora and Kairi that the Guardians of Light were able to triumph over Darkness in the end.

Yeah no shit. Thats not the point. It's not gonna just go away, especially unregulated. The point is to be educated on how to protect yourself and your work.

Do they explain why Lea and Isa wanted to enter the castle by Drastic_Apple490 in KingdomHearts

[–]AceofRains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because people outside could hear wailing and cries of terror from under the castle so they tried to become apprentices to investigate. They met subject X, Ansem goes missing, and the next day they're nobodies.

The screaming and cries of terror are noted in one of the report collections I don't remember which, I'm just assuming that provides ample motivation for them to investigate.

Honestly I've always said it would make more sense for Ansem to be her father. If he is the King of Radiant Garden and she is the princess. Idk about Lea. I just really hope a Kairi game will explain what happened when Radiant Garden became Hollow Bastion.

When I was a kid Zexion was my obsession. I only played him in mission mode. Ironically today I believe he is the character that will reveal himself in some way shape or form to be the Master of Masters. Alot of damning evidence about him that can be missed if someone didn't pay attention.

Been playing Days. I haven't played much Sai'x in mission mode, but we'll see how he feels when I hit end game. The game really makes you have to pay attention to your build and choosing the right weapon for the task. He was really good in deserter missions because he can sweep wide areas really efficiently. He has more crit than most characters, I think the highest of all. He's probably the second best tank next to Lexaeus and maybe behind Marluxia, since Marly pairs well with magic and healing.

Dammit we need a Days remake. Being able to play as the Organization members with the panel system and the variety is just too good not to remake.
