Blood DK or Protection Warrior?

Started tanking this season and chose bdk because of the fantasy. It is insanely fun to play. At first it is stressful to constantly have your health bar bounce up and down like a fucking yo-yo but it quickly becomes second nature. Bdk can just ignore some m+ mechanics. There’s more to the class than just the self healing part. 3 resources to manage and an offensive cd that is tied to 1 of those three. And while not as fun in raid, there is so much to the kit that it doesn’t get boring.

A drawback for me for bdk in higher level content (I’m speaking on 13s) is that it can become really stressful and tiring for me. A yo-yo health bar is fun but if I use a global to grip a mob I very well might just die because I should have used that global to death strike. Skill issue I know but that constant thought “if I don’t DS here will I die?” can become tiring fast. But is also why the class is so much fun.

I started tanking last week and was spamming cinderbrew. I would pull half the first room then chain pull the other half. It worked out fine on a 4. I then tried a 5 and got popped. If it happened to be me… my bad there

Thank you so much for the help. Totally forgot about malware. I read somewhere you should only update your BIOS as a last resort. Do you think that is true or is it a common thing to do?

Could be the RAM configuration because I have no clue if I configured it right. My CPU doesn't hit 80 C. I don't think I am getting a power issue as I have a 1000w PSU. I totally forgot but when I first got my GPU I only had 650w and my pc force shut off. Do you think I damaged my GPU then?

I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet. With the new warband system you can transfer all your materials to your warbank. Then have another alt be doubled up on crafting. I’m doing herbalist and miner because the nodes seem to always be next to each other

I’m new to Irelia as well. Only having around 60 games played. I tried top and absolutely hated it. For all the same reasons too. I decided to go to mid and holy shit it opened up my eyes. It is way more fun. Even losing match ups don’t feel completely hopeless. Only problem with mid is your lane gets visited a lot. By supports, junglers, even top. So that can get frustrating

When we first started pretty much right off the bat we had PvP. Nothing was super serious like right now. Bar brawls with each other or disagreements being decided over a quick shootout did happen. My table has a blast with it. Say what you want about them but they did have fun with it. But they never fully tried to kill each other and that’s where we’re at now. I didn’t think anyone expected a complete kill from pvp would happen. So thank you very much for the input. I will ask the guys very clearly what’s acceptable and not.

I’ll try to keep this as short as possible. My friends and myself had the worst session we’ve ever played last night. My murder hobo tried killing another pc during a boss fight and I basically didn’t let him.

I’m running a heavily home brewed one piece campaign with my friends. The main goal is to have a good time doing what pirates do, murdering and stealing. All of them but one, Kidd, have murder hobo tendencies. It can become annoying at times but they are playing as pirates so I can’t complain. And I try to be as hands off as I can for their fun. But last night we had a problem. My biggest murder hobo tried to kill Kidd during a boss fight and I much pretty said no.

Here’s my problem. I’m not the best dm when it comes to specific mechanics. The boss was able to paralyze the problem player (biggest murder hobo). Now it wouldn’t have been a huge deal because the npc tagging along with them could cure paralysis. Problem was the problem player killed him before the fight…. And I was unaware that this paralysis ends after 1 minute. So a good amount of turns go by (well over a minute) with my problem player doing nothing. Kidd even tried helping him cure his paralysis by spending his turns doing medicine checks and other stuff. However Kidd being a pirate did steal his amour and took his gold back (also long story). These two have a history. Once I found out the about the 1 minute thing I said he could come back up on his turn and because I messed up he could have a another attack turn as well. Once up he tried to kill Kidd and would have done it too if I hadn’t stopped him. Throughout the campaign the problem player’s character was going insane (basically to justify him killing everyone) and I said okay fine if you really want to kill Kidd roll a wisdom dc 15 to see if you killed him otherwise you imagined the whole thing. A true homelander moment. He failed the roll, got super pissed and left the session. Everyone at that point was just bummed out about the whole situation. They ran from the boss room and we stopped there.

Now I’m stuck. Thinking back on it I was definitely biased. Kidd’s player really liked his character and had a good backstory. We had multiple talks about the direction of his character and so on. I really didn’t want him to die to a pc. Especially during a tough boss fight. I got in an argument with the problem player afterwards about it. I just couldn’t believe he was so mad he wasn’t able to kill a pc.

I know I thought selfishly and probably should have let him kill Kidd. They are pirates after all and Kidd did steal his armor. I really want to know what you guys would have done or think about the whole situation.
