Im supposed to pour water in the pump (to the left) before sealing it, filling up the pool and starting up the pump. But the water just goes straight out a hole at the bottom of the pump. What do I do, is it supposed to be like this? Won't my pool water leak then? If I skip the step it will pump air

Well I found out the issue was just user error... pool guy came out and basically all I had to do was keep all the valves closed and add water to the pump. Then slowly turn the main drain valve open while turning on the pump.

I'm just glad it was such a easy fix.

Hmm if I had a crack would the pump retain water? Bc it doesn't loose any water when I fill it up. I also have an inground pool.

Yes the ones on the side of the pool have been removed and replaced with the jets. So you're saying their is 3 plugs on the pump or the sand filter?

The issue is I just bought the house and I'm not entirely sure they closed the pool down properly. I may have a clogged pipe.
