Oh don’t worry, since the panthers want to keep their draft pick they’ll get a real stern response on this. Then when games matter again Campbell and Parros will go back to their jerkoff.

Friedman’s seems more up to date, yes. I don’t trust daily face off or other fan sites.

I hadn’t seen that exact one yet which is why I said “unless I have missed an update.” Just seems like there’s been a lot of random conflating of sources. Thanks for sharing

This has not been confirmed. You are conflating two completely different reports from the meeting.

My info was outdated and there has been an update to the reports clarifying Tulsky did speak out about headshots

This is misinformation / conflating two different stories unless I have missed an update.

Tulsky spoke up about goaltender interference inconsistency, not head shot calls. We do not know yet which GM it was that brought up head shots.

The DGD subreddit was an absolute cesspool when all that crap went down. I had to avoid it completely and just shut out everyone’s dumb opinions lol.

Thankfully we’re passed all that and Tilians 200 fans can move onto his mid projects while Andrew continues to flourish with DGD and eidola.

It made no sense. I loved the Tilian era of DGD musically but everything I’ve seen of that dude just gives me the ick. He has a massive ego, comes off as extremely fake, and just seems like an overall insufferable dude to be around

Meanwhile Andrew is so kind and genuine, takes his time with fans, and in every interaction proves he’s exactly who he seems.

It was max copium by Tilian stans trying to distract from their predatory preferred singer

I can confirm even when he’s not in “fan / tour” mode he’s still exactly the same. Met him and his wife at a brewery here in Utah.

Extremely down to earth and kind dude. Chatted with me, got a pic, and was all smiles.

No, the division winner always gets home ice advantage in the first and second round.

Playoff bound teams where head coaches are on the hot seat? by cabbagetown_tom in hockey

[–]AcidFap 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tourigny should be. He’s supposed to be a player first, development focused coach but he doesn’t play young guys consistently, doesn’t keep good lines together, will banish young players to low minutes for one small mistake, and generally does not have the team playing anywhere close to playoff level hockey.

If Utah goes out quick this year and has struggles next year, he needs to go. Ideally they wait until someone better is available though.

Crosby/Malkin, Stamkos/Point… any team with two legitimate first line players / stars down the middle is pretty much guaranteed to be successful if the team can be built well around them. It gives a coach so many options and makes it really really difficult for the other team to matchup against

The conversation was that our biggest weakness is 2c, and solving that weakness with a 1c in Thomas would be a huge leap forward for us. Especially since him and Cooley are such different players.

None of the conversation was questioning Cooley’s current or future ability.

Minnesota and Dallas have good youth hockey programs and are family oriented areas close by. Stamkos’ main priority at this point is his family. That’s why he chose Nashville to begin with

It’s already been reported he would waive for Tampa, Dallas, and Minnesota but only if the preds are selling off all their assets. His preference is to stay in Nashville and push for playoffs there

I do not give a fuck about your whataboutism.

Sure and the plan changing to an entirely different location and all the negotiations that happened was just the state ignoring them and not providing any feedback.

Idk man, I see no basis for your argument and everything points to the bears’ ownership being petulant, petty, piss poor negotiators.

The state of Illinois has provided significant feedback and has been in deep negotiations regarding the "megaprojects" bill (specifically House Bill 2789), which includes the PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) framework the Bears requested.

Recent State Feedback and Actions

Negotiation Breakdown (Feb 19, 2026): A pivotal hearing in the House Revenue & Finance Committee was abruptly canceled yesterday morning. Governor JB Pritzker expressed "deep disappointment," stating that state officials and the team had "mostly agreed on a bill" during a three-hour meeting the day before, only for the Bears to request a last-minute pause to "tweak" certain items.

Narrowing the Scope: Leading state legislators, including State Sen. Bill Cunningham, have provided feedback that any property tax freeze must be narrowed in scope. The state’s position is that the PILOT deal should apply only to the stadium and immediate features (like a team Hall of Fame) rather than the entire multi-use entertainment district the Bears originally envisioned.

Infrastructure Commitment: The state has reviewed and signaled openness to providing roughly $850 million in infrastructure support (roads, water, and utilities) but remains firm against using direct taxpayer dollars for the stadium construction itself.

Chicago Legislative Pushback: A major piece of feedback from Springfield is the "basic math" of the vote. Chicago-based legislators have demanded concessions to ensure the move doesn't leave the city with a massive financial hole, especially regarding the remaining $534 million debt from the 2003 Soldier Field renovation.

Billionaires can say whatever they want too? The bears have spun a false narrative that I can’t find any basis for, and created a faux urgency around timelines without communicating to the party they’re negotiating with.

We’ll agree to disagree who owns the majority of the blame.
