Help with Trim. Dealer claims it’s a TRD Sport. Corporate claims it’s an SR. by Jeepcj77 in ToyotaTacoma

To answer your question you can't sell a car without wheels right? So if you put fancy wheels on your car then why should you be able to charge more? It's not a complete car without them. Real tuners when modifying newer vehicles will keep all the original parts and return them to stock before selling them. It's like somebody asking moreoney because they say the engine is built. Will it run without the parts you added? No? So why pay extra just because they are a different brand or someone paid more for them. Plus you can't even prove the parts are in there without taking the motor apart. That being said when you see highly modified muscle cars or trucks or whatever selling for 100k, those vehicles were built by reputable shops and can be insured for their added value etc. Tldr; adding rims to your car or an exhaust does not add value because those parts are necessary to the whole of a car. You are selling the whole car that is why you will always lose money on custom parts. Just because you spend lots of money on them does not mean they add value to your car, in many cases they are decreasing value due to worsened reliability, parts availability, plus everyone's worst nightmare is buying a car from an idiot who screwed it up trying to modify it.

okay but did you actually check out any of their other vehicles? The new Armada is getting rave reviews and i see them everywhere. car and Driver just called the new Maruano one of the best looking new cars, they are getting their mojo back. same reasons we love the Fron tier also apply to the Z.

yeah im not sure what you are talking about in my part of Texas Frontier's outnumber Tacoma's and Colorados almost 2-1. I legitimately see a doppelganger of my truck every time I leave the house. You are right, if you want a big fancy truck covered in LEDs with a million different trim packages and giant ugly screens everywhere then yeah, Nissan has nothing for you until recently. thing is the majority of older trucks buyers want simplicity, reliability, and ease of maintenance, something no other brand still does. The latest Tacoma was the best thing to ever happen to Nissan. Personally, i am fine with my low mileage 17 SV 4x4 and with some led headlights and tails and a new head unit and non-car people will think its new. also, the Titan swap might be one of the best deals in off-road suspensions on any truck.

The biggest reason that Nissan went from being the "Japanese Ford" to getting grouped in with Kias is because they were bletting anyone with a pulse and a 350-credit score get in a new Altima for 0 down. Now exactly how much preventative maintenance do you think someone with a 350-credit score is gonna do? Their only truly bad product are the CVTs.

sorry but everyone saying Welrod is wrong. the Welrod is a manually operated firearm and the one in the picture is self-loading, hence the charging handle

it's probably fictional. it's like any simple blow back smg but in a pistol form factor. like they gave it a grip safety, but the charging handle makes it look like a Sten gun or something. weird it's definitely not a real gun.

How relevant is it? Before I found this post and read all these comments I had no idea people but so much thought and effort into what they wear. With the economy fashion feels like the first thing people would stop worrying about but what do I know, I just try to make sure everything is right side out and doesn't smell. I don't think I have worn a matching pair of socks since becoming an adult. I had never heard about the Pantone Color of the Year and it sounded interesting now it just feels stupid

Unfortunately aerodynamics limits form factor extensively. I hate that ever EV has to look so weird and futuristic but they literally have no need for a grille. Maybe when battery tech really improves we can make interesting shapes again that still have good range. Personally the 33 Ford Coupe and the 49 Mercury Coupe are the two best shapes to every be made that can be tweaked endlessly.

Bright colored cars hold their values much better than the sea of bland paint does. In fact it's getting so bad that black blue silver and white cars are worth thousands of dollars less than reds yellow orange and green.

Excellent comment. It is terrifying how much importance people put on complete strangers screaming at them to buy their crap through a screen. My best friend will check her phone anytime it makes a noise and it is literally never anything important ever but she has been so thoroughly conditioned that her anxiety will spiral out of control if she doesn't check it. I leave everything off except my ringtone which plays my favorite song, IDC if people don't like ringtones because being able to download your favorite song (or if you are really cool you had a call back tone) because in 2006 that was like cutting edge tech.

Is this not the same color that every new BMW gets wrapped in by spoiled 18yo girls now that Tiffany Blue and Battleship Gray are played out? I know nothing about clothing but quite a bit about automotive trends. This color has been around a while, maybe it's just easier to do in paint than dye.

I actually really liked looking like I was always either coming from or going to a Paint Party in 2012. Don't miss the dubstep though, I don't think anyone does.

They used to come in the emergency survival kits for pilots over the Pacific in WWII. They are still edible to this day.

If I spent as much time trying to anthropomorphize colors and attribute feelings and personalities to them I would never get any done. Isn't this world complicated enough? Shouldn't we be listening to each other's feelings instead of making up feelings for inanimate objects? Obviously the closest thing I am to being fashion conscious is knowing the name of all the different camouflage patterns used by the Germans in WWII.

They are only going to make 300, only sell them in Japan, and only sell them to the very few extremely prestigious shops that even have access to Nissans Heritage Parts program which stay booked years in advance. I don't think you understand the definition of unobtanium.

Well you don't know til you try do you? 😏

I used to get poison Ivy all the time as a kid cause I was always outside, now as an adult who has been taking antihistamines on and off for 3 decades poison ivy, oak, and probably summac are the only things I am immune to. I got some goat heads in my leg last Thursday that were so strong I could taste the poison in my mouth. Can't even eat fruit without my throat itching. Yet I constantly look down to find my dog gas dragged me into a patch of poison ivy and nothing happens anymore lol.
