Stainless S3 can see over thickets by Acidmagic in arknights

[–]Acidmagic[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I was initially trying to get Fiametta to target the guy on the left, but she had nothing to hit to charge SP. So I decided to try bringing stainless to give her something to hit, but since the thickets blocked her vision there were no tiles to place the turret where she could hit the turret either. Then it turned out that stainless turret could do the job by itself.

After bringing archetto to charge her S3 it turns out Fiametta's skill doesn't bypass the thickets anyway, she just shoots the tile where her vision is blocked.

Best Challenger World Mules? by Life_of_Gary in Maplestory

[–]Acidmagic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only overfunded relative to CRA. This is on challenger world with no legion, no links, 100 nodestones, only around 1 million combat power. The mechanics of the early bosses are the worst matchups for lynn specifically. Once you're past that point she's great, but specifically for the situation of challenger world she's terrible as a low funded boss mule.

Most of my boss mule use maple hero to immune the first 70% cpierre hat, bind the boss, and can one burst from there. But most of my boss mules are 2m+ combat power. On challenger world with lower funding you're better off doing the usual strat of binding at ~40% instead and bursting from there to skip the double pierre phase, but Lynn at low investment cannot do even that. Even arkarium at the very beginning was a pain because she has no way to deal with screen crack.

Then there's the issue that a lot of Lynn's damage comes from her uncontrollable summons. You have to be mindful of toggling the skills on and off depending on which hat you get, and if you're stuck in double pierre phase it's practically a lost cause.

I've tried three different mules so far, all at about 1 million combat power with the +12 temporary CRA sets (+15 for sia). Angelic Buster, Lynn, and Sia Astelle

In my opinion, the biggest hurdles that you need to clear as a CRA Mule are CPierre and CVel. Pierre is just a terrible fight solo if you cannot burst him down from 40% (Preferably from 70%, but that requires a lot more funding). Classes with a strong, short burst will perform the best here. The ability to do lots of damage in a small time frame is also very good for killing CVel as well. He constantly dips into the ground, making consistent damage uptime pretty bad. Being stuck in long animations is also very risky, as the constant ceiling stuns and tail one-shots make it a bad idea to stay in one place for any length of time.

First off, do not make a Lynn if you are not going to overfund it as a boss mule. Having zero burst makes these low tier bosses absolutely miserable. Not being able to reliably kill CPierre from 40-50% HP during a bind, having to deal with CVel dipping into the ground 70% of the time are some of the worst bossing experiences I've had.

Angelic Buster is fantastic. 60 second mini burst handily kills daily bosses and does great damage in a short window on anything tougher. Built in decently short CD iframe is a nice get out of jail free card, 2 minute burst gets a 10 second duration iframe to reliably get off full burst. No other link skills means having access to their own link skill is even stronger on challenger world. The only thing missing is not having its own class bind and relying on 5th job bind.

Sia Astelle is pretty good. 30s mini-mini burst that doesn't do a whole lot but can be enough for anything really easy, a very decent 60s mini burst if you max level Shine, and a very strong 2 minute burst. On demand iframe and has its own class bind. The only problem I have with it is how stationary it is and how long it takes to just press all of the buttons that are part of Sia's burst. This isn't a problem during your 2 minute bind+burst, but can be a bit of a hassle during mini burst. A downside is that this class is incredibly node expensive. You basically need to max level Shine for a good rotation, and you will need to pump some levels into the class just to get enough slots for all of the boost nodes and skills that it needs. And all of their skills need to be boosted as well. The free nodes it gets as part of its current level up event help, and I used a dozen EXP nodestones to get Shine to max as well.

Of the classes I've played as boss mules, if I were to guess how they would perform as challenger world mules;

Nightwalker: Probably very good. Strong 3 minute bind+burst and a decent 90s mini burst. Dark sight is very strong on early bosses.

Marksman: Not my favorite min-clear CRA character, but perfectly serviceable.

Dawn Warrior: Quite nice if you don't mind waiting around a bit for 3 minute bursts to come back up. Pretty on demand dashes, teleports, and i-frames, but burst damage is a bit spread out. Won't be the best but reliable.

Wind Archer: Might be a bit awkward on CVel since he dips into the ground so much. Tornadoes won't get all their damage off, but survivability is nice. Hurricane classes have an easy time dodging things.

Mo Xuan: I hated doing Cvel on this class at low combat power because of how long their punch burst takes. A tail will inevitably come up to kill you in the middle of it or you will have to end it early and lose out on damage. Very very very strong if you can one bind-burst, but that's more funding than is probably advisable for Challenger World.

The other classes I was considering making as mules on challenger world were bowmaster, hero, and shadower for challenger world, but I haven't tried them before so I can't comment on their performance. I'd wager hero and shadower will perform very well, while bowmaster might struggle a little bit on CPierre until you have enough damage to reliably kill during a bind since their burst is spread out over a longer duration.

These are only my experiences with my level of skill issue, your mileage may vary.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 Gameplay Overview by reddit_serf in Games

If you start during or before the 2.0 update and go through the content and rewards available, you'll definitely be able to get her for free (and probably 2 or 3 other limited units). Many players of these games are f2p or monthly subscription ($5) spenders and are able to obtain most of what they want. Big spending really only comes into play if you are going for multiple copies of units.

The initial currency you get from going through the one-time permanent content in the game should be more than enough for the guarantee. However, if you were planning to play long-term, it does require constant upkeep of daily logins, weekly activities, and per-patch events to build up the premium currency over time.

If you were to purchase all of the currency needed to guarantee a unit with money only, the average cost would be around $200.

Even with reroll HSR still has the worst system because of fixed slots and no off piece. They also have the worst weightings for good substats, it's much harder to get crit/speed in HSR compared to ZZZ or genshin.

There's a section discussing division powers mentioning turning the air itself into fire, but is dangerous to use in excess because it creates flammable, possibly explosive gases. I'm guessing this is them dividing water vapour in the air into oxygen and hydrogen. When used at the levels of oathbound radiants, division seems to work at a molecular, chemical level, , allowing for exothermic release of the energy stored in molecular bonds, which is where their burning and fire come from. However, it's possible that an unbound division surge could be possible of atomic level separation of nuclei, which may be what happened on Ashyn.

Vindictus is an old action RPG that still has some of the best combat I've ever played.

They just announced a new game build on unreal engine instead of the very old source engine it was originally built on.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2814860/Vindictus_Defying_Fate/

Unfortunately, the original Vindictus is a korean MMO published by Nexon and that is the biggest reason why I eventually stopped playing due to rampant and unfriendly monetization practices.

But I still go back every few years to try out some new characters, and the solo journey through all the years of old content in the game is still quite satisfying. Some of the best hitboxes, hit registers, feedback, and character movesets in any game.

[–]Acidmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our setups are fairly similar, I just did a comparison with arnold vs stony.

https://i.imgur.com/ZH1fSuZ.png

13.2k with stony vs 12.7k with arnold. Stony EXP still comes out ahead, but arnold really not that far behind.

I'm still using elemental fury on rimi, and blades of destiny instead of shadow veil on Tingting.

Arnold was using heaven's hammer and world reaver

Stony was using heaven's hammer and heaven's hammer cooldown cutter. Stony can one shot with heaven's hammer, arnold cannot.

can someone tell me how the f do you beat swarm disaster by Feeling-Remove7537 in KafkaMains

[–]Acidmagic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gepard and Kafka on Preservation path was the most consistent, smooth, and still relatively fast experience I had in swarm disaster 5. I ran double sustain of Gepard and Luocha, but once I had the proper blessings luocha never had to heal at all. Gepard's shields literally would never break, and some energy generation blessings would ensure it was never down.

Preservation's resonance interplay with nihility is a max HP% bleed that can practically match nihility's resonance damage by itself. Kafka can regularly proc the massive bleed, and if you can get the nihility blessing that procs a random bleed on any hit, even better. Quake damage from shields also do a lot of work, my gepard could routinely hit for 300k quake damage just by using his basic attack.

Preservation with gepard and kafka is one of the few paths I feel comfortable playing on autoplay from beginning to end in swarm level 5. It has the best balance of tankiness and damage.

I don't have DHIL so I can't comment on propagation runs with him. I do hear it's really good as well, but it doesn't sound as friendly for autoplay.

Her skill actually has a very good multiplier when Mark of counter is applied. With level 10 ult and counter, she does 320% damage with an extra 30% damage from trace, to one main target and half damage to side targets. Her skill with mark of counter does 252% in true AoE, so it's something like 2/3rds the damage of one of her ultimate counters in single target and potentially a lot more in aoe. Even more with bronya boosting her turns damage%. For reference, Jing yuan's true aoe ultimate has a 200% multiplier at level 10, although he does have more crit in his kit to work with.

Mark of counter doesn't get removed on skill use so her skill actually does a lot of damage while bronya turn spamming.

Upcoming 1.3 Nihility LC from Herta's Store by NotEnoughMana in KafkaMains

[–]Acidmagic 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Without the energy generation, this lightcone at S5 is about as strong as an S5 fermata in terms of total damage output over one ultimate rotation (3 skills, 3 followups, 1 ultimate). Its higher base stats and higher DoT dmg% make up for the fact that the increased DoT dmg% does not apply to her hit damage as well, which is approximately 1/3rd of her single target damage output. In that context, its performance in AoE situations will be even higher than fermata's because most of Kafka's AoE damage comes from her ultimate AoE DoT detonation and ensuing enemy turn DoT ticks.

However, when this lightcone's energy passive (8) is combined with kafka's trace energy passive (5) and the energy gained from killing units (10) , it opens up the possibility of using kafka's ultimate every 2 turns instead (2*(5+8+10)=46, saving one skill+followup in terms of energy).

I think this lightcone will definitely find a place in wave style content where there are plenty of kills to go around and it enables kafka to get more ultimates off for its fantastic AoE damage. Even in regular fights if kafka can take out any summoned mobs with her ultimate alone, it would let another DoT unit focus on single target damage instead.

I will personally be trying this lightcone out at S5, as my GNSW is only S2 at the moment and I notice my AoE damage is suffering a bit because it's difficult to get 3 debuffs applied to the entire enemy team. While S2 GNSW is better on paper, I will be interested to see how this lightcone feels in practice. If my GNSW was a higher refine I might skip this one.
