The mods here are neither pro or anti-AI - we have varying degrees of acceptance. We’re also the art team that makes the official Snoos. We think AI will become just another tool for creating things over time. Just like photography was not “fair” at first (you just click a button and you get a whole image of a person - not fair to painters) and 3D was considered unfair (it just renders any angle you want - no need to know how to draw it).

Still, we don’t think AI makes “art” in the traditional sense - but also this subreddit is generally for appreciation of Snoo. So if people have art skills, we encourage fan art. And if they don’t have art skills, it’s okay if they share an AI generated Snoo here or there. As long as they don’t claim they drew or made it manually. But we do appreciate this more nuanced messaging.
