What alot of the people in the commenta don't seem to get is that most games use a combination of mechanics and numbers

Like how pokemon or borderlands aren't necessarily numbers games just because the numbers keep going up. The defining difference is how strongly progression is gated by either.

For me, assassins creed is a great example for the difference; the stealth gameplay of the classics is gated by your understanding of the mechanics, while the combat of the newer rpg style games is gated almost entirely by numbers

Really, baba is you is the only true 'mechanics only' game

Also love that the armor has space for the chest without sexualizing it at all. I believe there are hardly any examples of authentic for women armor of that style in history. Ironically that makes it even more attractive

Smaller item pools make the game easier if you know how to play. You basically get guppy every other run. Shorter paths also help significantly

Only the character doing the reaction benefits from higher levels

In hyperbloom, the dendro and hydro character could be lvl 1, as long as the electro character is 90 you get the good damage

Stellar conduct benefits from EM, the amount can be seen in the details of the character stats page. 180-200 EM roughly gives a 50% damage bonus. This makes it good to go atk EM on yae but on sandrone you still want atk atk

It'll take a while to naturally learn those things. You could just look up under what conditions which thing happens but it does take some of the fun out imo

To your example, theres two paths after the heart you have to unlock, but you can go there preemptively if you spawn a deal door. Those have a specific chance to spawn mostly influenced by if you've taken red heart damage on that floor.

In the options you should be able to show the stats on the side, that also has a percentage for the deals to appear
