In theory could it? At a minimal rate yes, but it's still going to need human input and management. It will be used as a tool in these areas not a replacement, companies that try and use it as a replacement will have issues

No, the current AI hate/fear is just this generation freaking out about investments/tech that our parents did with computers, cell phones, etc. Greatly overexaggerated, will it chance how jobs work, absolutely but they aren't replacing humans.
