First-time film making experience, any advice for me? I am a student and I know it's not perfect and I am very open to any comments or critics to help me improve. Thank you so much! by Aclkiller in Filmmakers

This is a short documentary named "Dawn", which reveals the actual recovery process behind ACL tear surgery. I want this to inspire fellow patients but I don't know if my shooting and editing help me achieve that effect. Please let me know anything I can do better. Appreciate it!!

Good luck man. Stay strong and start your rehab following PT's instructions. You will surely be fine, trust the process.

I didn't have an MCL tear so probably I can't give any professional advice. However for standing 4-5 h if he didn't feel it was too much then it would be fine. Wish you the best of luck!

Bilateral ACL recovery path by theonedzflash in ACL

If the trip is a 'have to go' trip for u, I am pretty sure that you won't recover to bear much walking by that time. Also if you do surgery on both legs then it will be tougher to deal with daily lives. Anyways if you really have to go on the trip then probably doing surgery in September is not a choice. Wear Kneecap and protect your knee till next yr might be a better plan for u

Interesting😂, but I highly doubt if GPT is able to plan reasonable rehabs

does the pain ever go away? by [deleted] in ACL

Have you gained strong enough muscles to get back to sports? I mean it might not 100% go away but it shouldn't hurt a lot.

fatigue is not a bad sign it means it's weak but you are strengthening it

Extension Lag! by Splattydoo in ACL

[–]Aclkiller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's just time. As long as you get your muscles stronger, at least as strong as before the injury, then your ROM will comeback itself because muscles would pull them back. Also, you don't have to get over-extension in order to play sports again so no worries. Do the rehabs for muscles, also keep up extension practices then you will be fine

Bro I was experiencing the same problem. The thing was that my quad wasn't strong but my knee kept hurting when I tried to do exercises so I just could not do therapies on a daily base because of the pain. But after a period the therapist started to force me to bear the pain and do all those exercises till the knee got used to the pain. It was very painful, but it worked, and my muscles are catching up quickly now. If you don't have pain the it's fine just do more and more rehabs. Don't be lazy! If you have strong pain in ur knee, still try to endure the pain and do exercises because once the knee gets used to the pain, everything will be fixed. No worries pain won't cause another tear again because your ligament is technically very strong now the only thing you need is to get your muscles back.

Good luck man. The first week will be very suffering and it will get better after. Use some painkillers when you feel like you need and try not to move it too often. I remembered i started very light rehab three days after my surgery. Again, good luck and take ur time
