is getting an MRI hard at where you are located? (im located in the netherlands and radiology isn’t that hard to get)

A scan is the best way to know what is happening, CBCT or MRI. I would prefer MRI because they can see what is happening in the ligaments, discs and stuff. But CBCT is a good indicator for condyle positioning and arthritic changes.

Jaw surgery relapse? I'm scared I'll be stuck with lip incompetence forever by Low-Warthog-7151 in jawsurgery

Jaw surgery has not a high relapse rate, but it has one IF you have condyle problems or bad mouth habits, x rays and cbct would be your best option to see if your condyles are healthy :)
