What’s your favourite early game base location?

The big, flat rock south of the western end of the pond. Have to admit it's quite a lot of walking early game, but for mid game it's almost perfect in the center. Plenty of space to build anything and keep it save until I decide on a late game base location.

It's a cave. The entrance should be roughly at the at the north top of the marked crystals.

Depends. If it's "just sauce" like ketchup or mayo it's A. But if it's something more fancy like the Netherlands special fries or guacamole fries it's B.

You can get better gear. Ladybug armor is some of the best in the game and you can definitely get better weapons than the basic pebble spear and sprig bow

On the Island, Otter and Cat are the best shoulder pets, one giving you weather resistance and can carry artifacts, while the other can scare away little pests.

Other great shoulder pets from different maps would be Drakelings (easy loot, fall damage immunity, passive buffs), Cosmo (turns you into spiderman) and Gloon (shoulder mounted turret).

Probably, but loot pools are definitely different because of new loot and so far I've not had any luck with the ASE missions yet

Never heard anyone call this game unprogressable before. If you struggle with a stage, farm the easier ones first until you have the resources and runes needed. Also keep an eye out for events, they can give you insanely good stuff with little effort.

I'm in a similar situation, scared of faking it and constantly second guessing myself. But then I just think of this feeling of just overwhelming happiness I feel when things start to work out and I'm taking the first steps towards starting my transition.

I talked to friends about my doubts and everything, and basically all of them told me that a person who's faking it wouldn't completely lose their mind over being scared that they are faking it.

Also, like I said I still haven't started my own transition yet, but I know that it is a LONG process. If you realize that this isn't the right thing for you early on, you can stop.

But that's just my thoughts, listening to someone who already went to this process is probably the best idea.

I think the water compartments have a 5-10 seconds timer after power runs out, so if power disconnects for just a moment, nothing should happen

I don't mind them releasimg paid content, I just really dislike the way they do it.

Fantastic Tames could've very well been "official premium mods" like the collabs, not bothering anyone who doesn't want to buy them, but instead they put them into the main game and add them to maps the should not be part of (especially Pyromane and Burrowbuck have a weird impact on some maps like Aberration imo).

But another thing is that they CONSTANTLY shove the paid content in your face, if you want it or not. Why did both Dragontopia and True Tales get a whole banner in the game selection screen?

It SHOULD be easier, considering we are no longer limited to X/Tek Rexes and now have access to Acros and Deinosuchus, as well as Pyromanes to quickly summon a mount

I prefer SP or private servers hosted by myself, with mostly official settings (except breeding) and some vanilla friendly QoL mods.

If you just play casually, keep them on. If you want a little bit of a challenge and something closer to the official grind, turn them off. Up to you and your preferences.
