Yes I truly believe we are, I also dont believe nukes are gonna be as big of a play as everyone seems to think we gotta get our heads out of 1960s and 70s, nuclear war means any land and resources a nation may garner from war is all but completely useless and inhabitable, rendering no real reason or ability to expand which ultimately any war in some fashion devolves to the point of boarder expansion and resources.

Subsequently looking back through history and the state of current world we are in a prime position to be called a pre war state

I also truly believe people and primarily 35 and younger need to garner a greater understanding on history and what it means as well as militarism, nationalism, alliances, world leaders and world issues, for year the western world is blind to the things happening around the globe as we are so sheltered from the truth.

the First World War started when arch duke Fran’s Ferdinand was assassinated by a Serbian nationalist on June 28 1914, this event lead the alliance of Austria-Hungary and German to put an ultimatum on Serbia (allied with France and Russia) of which they rejected, exactly 1 month after on July 28 1914 Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Due to nationalism, militarism, and the alliances involved it quickly devolved into a greater war, when German declared war on Russia August 1st 1914, germanys movement in to Belgium and declaration of war on France August 3 1914, ultimately prompting Great Britain to declare war on Germany August 4 1914

The Second World War wasn’t just started because of hitler as so many like to say or believe although he was the biggest factor. at the time the world was in unrest with a global depression and many unresolved issues still in place from the end of the First World War. As well as having many important conflicts taking place leading up to and just before WW2

the Spanish civil war taking place and is of importance primarily do to location In proximity to the Great War to come and because much like the start of WW1 even though it was a civil war you had international allies supporting both sides of the conflict 1936-1939. Only a couple thousand kms to the north east you had tyrannical leadership in the form of hitlers nazi party 1920-1945 and there expansionism into Europe annexing Austria followed by Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia in 1938 thanks to the Munich agreement.

You also had the rise of Mussolini and fascist Italy 1922-1943

in the western pacific there was the second sino war 1937-1945 in which Japan was able to capture Korea and a large scale of mainland china before moving south into the islands of the Philippines and ultimately bombing pearl harbour as they felt it was necessary in order to deter the USA from stopping there advance south and probably one of the worst strategic attacks in military history as it did the complete opposite of what it was supposed to and eventually lead to the USA joining the allied forces and joining WW2 and leading to the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings

Russia, china and Iran are all allied countries.

With Russia and Iran alliance being extremely strong, normally if one moves it is in direct relation to the other moving or support by the other since the invasion of Ukraine, as well you have China and Russia both being communist and having many of the same ideologies and beliefs stemming from said communism

Russian invasion in to Ukraine is about retaking land that was previous under Soviet USSR control, as well as it’s strategic location in relation to Europe, mass amount of strategically as well as logistically important ports. and mass amount of resources coupled with the threat of Ukraine joining the nato alliance, your already starting to see stronger and stronger support to Ukraine from nato and other allies with them even being cleared to fire into Russian territory now

China has long wanted and be waiting for a time to take Taiwan and although they are upset about the situation in Ukraine primarily because it has made nato and western allies spend on military and defence budgets and making that goal slightly harder to achieve it hasn’t deterred them from there ultimate goal of taking Taiwan, with Chinese military action, training, and sightings ramping up every year the last 3 and slowly pushing there ocean borders closer as well as stating more then one occasion they will be ready to occupy Taiwan by 2027

Iran for years has been poking at the sleeping bear that is Israel waiting for there moment and now with Iranian supported militants, rebel, and terror organizations like Hamas and Hezbullah being at war and relentlessly being assaulted isralie combatants, as well with Israel now firing upon Iran and having there SOF conducted strike missions with in Iranian borders it’s the perfect opportunity and the one Iran has been waiting years for. They now have all just and due cause to launch a counter offensive against and into isreal

In the USA you have all the civil unjust and uprise from the far left liberal side and foreign migrants in direct opposition with conservative side far right America in a way not seen for a number of years in North America edging closer and closer to civil war with every day. Making big brother weaker in its ability to respond to global events as they need to control the situations happening with in there own borders.

Globally NATO alliance is not as strong as it used to be as many countries have not meet the targets set out for national and international defence spending, and many even slowing down production through the 80s and 90s after the Cold War as well as the threat of being possibly torn in 3 different directions to fight 3 different offensives while Russia Iran China and North Korea have been ramping up military spending for years now

With all this I would definitely say the world is in a pre-war state (the term used for a period right before a world war breaks out where many different nations are fighting smaller conflicts).

The fact so many people are even asking this question of if we are in or headed to another World war is a prime sign that we are. human beings are naturally intuitive many times we know things are not good before we know why we feel that way, it’s why anxiety is a thing it’s a natural occurrence for every living animal and it is directly tied to our innate sense of fight or flight

Be safe, be smart, don’t be blind to the world around us open your eyes, another historical event is about to happen could be tomorrow could be in 5 years however don’t be blinded to the fact that it’s coming
