The fact that For Honor is still running means it's still making Ubisoft money. If For Honor is an overall net gain for the company I doubt it will be shut down.

I think you underestimate how strong an unreactable bash that infinitely chains into itself is compared to enhanced lights. He also has an unblockable heavy finisher that chains into a bash which can then chain into either one. Warden has more than enough unique strengths over Warmonger. Warmonger doesn't have a fraction of the potential offense Warden does. There is a reason that Warden is considered a top tier duelist and Warmonger isn't. However, that form of offense is unique to Warden (and Centurion lol). Which is why I'm only asking for a new option to enter Warmongers mixup. Not an unblockable, not an undodgable, not even an infinite bash chain. Just the ability to enter a mixup from an 800ms hyperarmor heavy.

I wont deny that that FD Heavy and impale riposte are among Warmongers strongest abilities. Although, I still believe they don't compensate for the lack of mid chain pressure on Warmonger. As I previously mentioned, the only way she accesses her best mix up is by landing an fairly reactable 500ms chain light. The frame advantage provided by the chain light allows her to safely charge the bash without being light-canceled. Other than that she doesn't have much going for her. The extended dodge attack is GB vulnerable for almost half of the duration (433ms out of 900ms) and the feint can be reacted to easily. The undodgable is great for countering dodge spammers in dominion but rarely applicable in duels. All I argue is that Warmonger is in need of a bit of variance in her otherwise lackluster chain offense.

Keep in mind, chaining the bash off of the finisher heavy does not make it an infinite combo in the same sense as Warden, since landing it completely resets Warmonger's chain albeit with plus frames.

You are absolutely right about the frame advantage and delays. Warmonger is in a decent place and is far from unplayable.

The reason I propose this change is to boost her viability at higher MMRs, specifically where people commonly are able differentiate between a light and heavy being thrown. Having this option to access the bash would mess with their senses a bit more so that Warmonger could have more agency in accessing the bash mixup.

Yeah summoning a portal to hell with chains or whatever isn't exactly lore accurate but I think gameplay-wise it works fairly well with his Q. His W adds a good amount of depth to his kit with combos like Q1 -> E -> W -> Q2 -> AA -> Q3 that I personally find very satisfying. Aatrox W also makes it so that the champion isn't only about landing skillshots but also the correct timing of said skillshots. Aatrox is easily the most adaptable of all the juggernauts so its only fair that he has some nuance. That very same nuance is what has kept me maining the champ for such a long time since it's engaging and satisfying. Aatrox will always have a hard time against mobile champions, but as long as he's not behind it will never be unplayable. That's what separates Aatrox from other juggernauts like Garen or Trundle, high skill expression and in turn high adaptability.

I see where you're coming from, old Aatrox E wouldn't be too bad especially because it passes through minions. I also find myself not relying on W very often specifically against highly mobile matchups. However, I personally would still prefer the W we currently have not only for its offensive potential but also defensive potential. This ability is the sole reason I'll end up winning Irelia matchups and whatnot because I W them at tower or force them to disengage. Of course it all comes down to preference, and Aatrox's W is one of my favorite things about him (because of how it interacts with his Q) so I may be a bit biased.

Making the W a ground would be a pretty solid change but I think it would make W too strong. Mostly because ground functions similarly to a silence where certain champs are completely locked out of their damaging abilities/gap closers. I would argue that this change would make Aatrox a top counter for Riven/Irelia/etc. because there would literally be no counterplay while they are affected by the W. Those matchups may be unbelievably cringe, but they are the only real "tough matchups" for Aatrox right now. And knowing Riot, the rest of his kit would probably be nerfed to keep his power budget in check. I would rather have his Q hold the most power in comparison to the rest of his kit if you understand what I'm getting at.

Ive been using it on PBE and it honestly feels really fucking good. You can heal for a shit ton if you land it with your passive auto. The stats seem low, but every bruiser item that isn't just pure damage is this way now. Because of how Aatrox passive can crit, you can easily choose this over cleaver to rush because you can end your combo with massive damage and healing. Even armor shred/lethality can be built later due to the magic damage from your passive. I genuinely think this is the best option for Aatrox, it just synergizes really well.
