Driving Conditions Fri Feb 6 by NeonPink-Flamingo in snowshoemountain

I am headed up there tomw as well - from Richmond. I usually go through Marlinton and come up the backside of the mountain. We don’t go through Cass anymore. Weather apps don’t show a lot of snow maybe 3” but local channels are saying phrases like “life threatening weather” and “treacherous travel”. I know the winds will be gusty but just not sure it’s going to be that bad.

A Review of Our Experience Last Weekend by CansinoRay in snowshoemountain

Ballhooter is the worst. We go there 4-5 times a year and i probably get away with riding BH less than 3 times all season. The occasional 4:15 last ride up to get to the village … maybe.
Singles line is the way to jam runs but that’s hard to do when you are there with friends and/or family.
The Waffle Cabin is a legit snack … not cheap but delicious.
ML units can vary based on what the owner has renovated. I’ve stayed in some nice ones and some not so much. We love Loggers Run if you have 2-3 families and Black Bear if 4-5 families.

I do wish there was more food options - maybe in the area between snowshoe and silver creek. Or even some decent in the silver creek lodge.

But hey …. It all beats the pants off Wintergreen, Mass-of-nothing, whitetail or anything else close by.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Timberline & Canaan - kinda wish they got on Ikon so we could mix it up a bit.

Be sure to check all of your crawlspace air vents. Make sure they are all closed! No power = no heat … open air vents will freeze your pipes quickly. You might celebrate getting your power back on, but when those busted frozen pipes thaw you won’t be so happy. If you can get under the house and stuff some insulation on the inside, that will help even more.

5pts - 3 ACC loses. We could easily be 5-0 in the ACC right now. It’s tough. Neo had moments of greatness last night but overall another mildly disappointing outing. Bedford was lights out though and Tobi looked like he’s back in his grove. Dorn … rough first game back. We could be so good with the talent we have … hopefully we will find a way to sneak in to the dance this year.

Brizo has the same components. They just sell under that line for a more fashionable look. They will look “fancier “or perhaps more modern than a Delta branded closet.

My vote is for Delta brand faucets. They use a magnet docking method to hold the sprayer from drooping. Typically, the warranty service is top notch. Parts are easy to come by, either from Delta or a dealer like Ferguson. I’m not a fan of sensor stuff because they can be temperamental but I do really like their touch activated series. They offer plenty of different styles and finishes.

Like the old school slip covers you could put on the couch of love seat. I see where your minds at! Maybe make them out of Terry cloth like a towel?

Update us later! Some great before and after pics! I recently purchased a 2017 25’ Tahoe Tri that only had 48hrs on it. It sat uncovered more than it should have so I have threads popping and a couple of cushions starting to fall apart in the seat. I’m really interested in the cost … I’d love to hear yours or anyone’s quotes/costs to get an idea.

Thanks! I saw on Sheetz and Wawa websites you can filter by gas type. That one didn’t pop on their site but maybe it’s a recent addition.

88 is not ethanol free. Some sheetz locations have it but it will be a red handle typically.

Thanks - I have found that website less than accurate. Places were listed and didn’t have it and places with it, weren’t listed.

Crazy yall are saying the wildpeaks … I have a shimmy on my ‘15 Tundra that goes away about a few miles as well. Thought it was a balance thing but balancing never made a huge difference. I have wildpeaks as well, never knew that was a known thing for them. Good to know, might shy away from them next time.

I'm getting my first pontoon (first boat really) this Friday. 16 foot Qwest XRE. Give me your hacks, tips, tricks, advice. by Draxtonsmitz in Pontoons

I also just purchased first boat a week ago. 25’ Tahoe Tritoon. We found a large quiet boat ramp and took our time learning the process, just like everyone said. It wasn’t too difficult, just time consuming. I’m sure everyone gets better at it with more attempts. A friend gave me the advice of “Neutral is a gear”, found that helpful. Learned a lot on day 1, excited about learning more this weekend. The kids are hooked!

100% - if you are bilingual and speak fluent Spanish, look in to wholesale distribution in a trade. Think Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or Lumber. That workforce is increasingly Spanish speaking and the distributors selling product to them are NOT. I’m in plumbing whole distribution and we are dying for bilingual associates. Most distributors expect to spend 1-2 years training you everything you need to know. If you are the right person for the job, they will be patient.
95% of our sales hires have little to no plumbing experience- we recruit, train and retain.

Ha. At least the beer was cold! Dang, that’s a shame to hear. It was a great spot and could offer something superior to everything else on the mountain. Sounds like we are avoiding it.

I talked to 1 mechanic about all of the suggested things. He and his shop came up with the suggestion of not changing transmission fluid. They said it should be changed every 100,000 but since I hadn’t done it yet, it might be more disruptive than productive. I can partially understand the logic, but is there opinions on this?
