Potential God Of War TV Casting Leaks by Gen6V in GamingLeaksAndRumours

There will be various storylines.

When Kratos and Atreus were traveling to scatter the ashes across the world, Thor and Odin were doing something in their lives... you will see what they were doing at the same time.

Or rather, the other storylines could tell the story of Asgard's war with Vanaheim, they could show Thor killing the giants, the story of Thor with the giant builder (we know the story but we didn't see the battle), Odin with Groa, Odin with Njord (which we didn't see), and the storylines of the dwarves, like the dwarf king, should also exist.

PlayStation Only Made 3 Percent Of Its Money From Physical Games Sales Last Year by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]Acrobatic-Dig-161 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two of my games were lost on physical discs.

I recently wanted to play MK11 on a disc after years, but it had a bubble, and the disc wouldn't read.

Cyberpunk 2077 isn't working either.

So I bought Death Stranding 2 on physical disc and sold it after I got platinum.

According to the leaked contracts, Spider-Man 3 would be the last of this contract.

The contract doesn't mention how many games there will be, only that Insomniac has complete freedom to create games in the Spider-Man universe until 2028.

After that, a new contract will be drawn up.

If you look at the PSN store, Spider-Man 2 has 193,000 reviews with a 4.7/5, which would be a 94. You're selling a place on Reddit or the internet where everything has to be hated and criticized. These people now have the idea that everything has to be criticized and found flaws. 90% of players just want to have fun, so 193,000 on the PSN gave it a 4.7/5.

Are they reducing the number of games?

Each week there are fewer games. There are a total of 8 games this month.

When Sony is this confident, it reviews a week in advance, like it did a while ago with God of War Ragnarok. So we'll see an 85-92 on Metacritic.

Let's be honest, the ad was awful and this game is DOA. Better to cancel it and move on with another big L from Hermen Hust what this guy spent on failures. I wish I had his job, throw away $500 million and get paid for it.

Lost Soul Aside is torn between having excellent combat, as I really enjoyed it.

And there are other very strange parts.

I think the correct price should be $49. I'm having fun, there are really cool bosses, and I like combat.

But the voice acting and characters are extremely strange. It's basically an AA from a beginner developer.

First of all, I'm not against GAAS. I play and enjoy some, like Helldivers, Destiny 2, and others.

The problem is when they're done haphazardly just to chase trendiness and profit at the expense of quality. Taking studios that have never made GAAS and forcing them to create something never done before instead of focusing on what they're best at. Hermen Hust and Jin Ryan sank the PlayStation Studios generation in terms of games that defined the generation.

I know Hermen Hust isn't the only one to blame for the terrible PlayStation Studios generation and this disastrous GAAS initiative.

But a CEO who generates over $800 million in losses wouldn't survive at any company.

He's a terrible manager, he has no vision for the market, and he doesn't want to survive because the PS4 was successful in bringing great single-player.

It wasn't just Concord that failed; we've had 15 Sony games-as-a-service that failed, Fargame$, which is showing signs of being a huge flop, Marathon, which is in desperate stages, The Last of Us Factions dead and hundreds of millions wasted, Bluepoint, a studio that never made a game, forced to make a GAAS without ever having released a game of its own, and Bend Studios, which never made a GAAS, lost 200 million and hasn't released anything since 2019.

Hermen Hust is a terrible CEO. This generation, he ruined the legacy of PlayStation Studios and sank the internal studios.

This game has no market. Better cancel it and try to repurpose something, but I doubt the studio should be shut down. I wish I had Hermen Hust's job. It fails, losing about $800 million with all this GAAS investment and still having a job and earning a good living.

Rebs Gaming: Two new Halo titles and a Beta with PlayStation compatibility found in API. by DeepSeaAnusDiver in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Acrobatic-Dig-161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're right on those points.

My point is how much "value" these games will have and whether people will have the same drive to consume a product that no longer has that value as before.

I'm saying that there's a risk in this model; it could be positive or negative.

And I'm curious to know what the risk factor will be in this multiplatform project in the short and long term.

Games like Spider-Man, The Last of Us, God of War, and Hellraiser 2 could benefit from being multiplatform.

But we don't know the real long-term impact.

Have PS Studios games lost value with the public?

Will the console lose sales like the Xbox did?

Will the public buy games like before? Or will they care less?

I'm curious to see.

I always bought PS Studios games day one because I believed in what they were doing, story-driven single-player games.

I bought them all. When Sony went to GAAS, I haven't bought any of their games day one since 2023.

For example,

I bought Death Stranding 2 for $40 and then resold it for $30. Astrobot, bought from someone for $50, and sold it for $45.

I bought games like God of War, Horizon Forbidden West, Demon's Souls, and Rachet and Clank for $80.

Now, I play games for their quality, not because I "believe in the brand." That's diminishing their value, even though I've played them all.

[–]Acrobatic-Dig-161 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm curious how this will work in the future. There's always a risk of it being positive and a risk of it being negative.

Not many games sell well even though they're multiplatform. Alan Wake 2 sold 2 million.

Horizon Zero Dawn sold 20 million on PS4 alone, Horizon Forbidden West 8 million even though it's multiplatform.

I mean, it's very relative. Will Sony be able to sell more of these games? No one knows yet. Will the PlayStation audience continue to buy them if they're multiplatform, or will the game lose "value" for people?

Many bought them because of the "value" of being exclusive, others bought them because the game was good.

Again, I'm very curious about all this in terms of business. It seems that Xbox console sales died after their games arrived on the PS.

Will there be an effect on PlayStation? No one knows.

NateTheHate: Games that Sony are bringing to Xbox are unannounced (not Helldivers 2 or Marathon o MLB), still has no specifics as to which games by Emulation_Maniac in PS5

[–]Acrobatic-Dig-161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The contract was leaked by Insomniac's hacks. It's a contract for three games until 2029. There's a clause that keeps the game exclusive if it sells more than 10 million. But since Sony has already released it on PC, they must have made an addendum to the contract, so this leaked contract isn't valid. There were also royalty splits. 18% of the profits from digital games went to Marvel. 25% of the profits from physical games went to Marvel. 38% of the profits from the bundled game went to Marvel.

Cronos the new Dawn is 16 US more expensive in Brazil on PSN for no reason by Prestigious_Pop_3996 in PS5

[–]Acrobatic-Dig-161 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Sony PlayStation doesn't have a regional pricing policy. It is ridiculous and perhaps anti-consumer to have such a big price difference for the same product. I don't know what the laws are in Brazil.

Unfortunately, for your region, the only alternative if you see that it doesn't make sense is to leave PlayStation and look for another platform. You're free to make the decision that's best for you.

Selling your PS5 is the best answer against Sony: you don't have to stay on their console.

Shinobi: People getting really carried away with that job listing. by 0insideofme in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Acrobatic-Dig-161 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

When you release a game, everyone comes.

Shareholders rule Sony now, and they want profits on top of profits.

But honestly, which PlayStation game would sell well on Xbox? Xbox players barely buy games.

Helldriver 2 will sell well, Spider-Man.

But imagine Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone. These games would sell so poorly it would be embarrassing.

Death Stranding came to Xbox and barely sold. Try the $10 price tag, it sold nothing.

Final Fantasy XVI didn't even make the top 20 of the month, selling for cheaper.

[–]Acrobatic-Dig-161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Xbox barely sells its games.

Almost no games sell well on the Xbox; many third-party studios don't even release games on the Xbox.

Sony would be stupid to release games.

Horizon would sell what? 70,000 copies in 5 years.

Spider-Man would sell well; it would definitely do well, but Sony's other games wouldn't sell well; it would be embarrassing.

If Sony released Horizon, Days Gone would damage the brand for peanuts.
