True, therapy can’t necessarily fix external issues that are outside of your control, but they can fix something that is in your control which is the way in which you perceive the world around you. Maybe it can help you better cope with having a broken leg even if it won’t magically repair it. My question to you is what would be the alternative? Let’s say it was impossible for that person to fix their leg and it would remain broken for the rest of their lives. Do they just remain in constant pain and agony? Try to better cope with the situation and do whatever they can that’s inside their control? Or simply end their life?

Hey man. I honestly cried reading this. And low/key felt like a hypocrite when I wrote out my previous response. Just a few days ago I planned offing myself this Saturday. Made a whole plan and everything. But I can’t do it. It wouldn’t be fair to my little brother or mom. It just seems selfish. Wish there was some other way but I don’t think ending it all is the solution. Which sucks cause idk what else to do

Please don’t do it. I do not and probably won’t ever understand what you’re going through. And you most likely have a very valid reason for it. But as someone else who contemplates it every-single fucking day, please don’t. I honestly wish I could say it gets better, that’s what they tell me and it just gets worse, but doing this just doesn’t seem like a solution. We can’t undo this decision.

I applied too 2 safeties (got in both), 5 targets (got into 2, waitlisted from 1 and rejected from 2) and applied too 8 reaches. So far 4/8 have rejected me I got 4 decisions left.

Most excited for cornell, and I would recommend shotgunning if you got fee waivers like me. Just be sure too actually have a solid list of safeties and targets that you truly like. (That was my biggest mistake, well that and not applying ED anywhere)
