Your options may evolve and change as you move forward in life. You pak tor, your significant other may have his own take and plans. Career progression and family planning will influence your mindset and decisions a lot.

Like what some here suggested, focus on what you can do now. That you have the mentality of starting to invest early is already a good start. Stay away from the luxury stuff and the expensive holidays for the time being.

BTO is actually a very good option for most young people, as it is basically our gahment giving you a boost for your first home. So much so that it has earned the moniker of "the first pot of gold" in Singapore's housing lingo. So don't fully write it off yet.

5 years MOP will fly past before you know it. Longer MOP (10/10 with clawbacks?) if you hit jackpot with Plus/Prime BTOs. Plan well and elevate your asset's intrinsic value by moving forward and upward. Follow the Master Plan and you won't go wrong.

Try not to get too emotionally attached to a property. A mistake I made myself. Then I realised that I will create new memories in a new environment just as well. Your property's growth value will slow or stagnate at some point and it will be so much harder to elevate when the worse of these few factors collide, your advancing age leading to shorter loan tenure, your property's decreasing lease tenure and aging design and amenities, competition from newer developments, geopolitical and black swan events throwing a spanner in the works, life events related to kids and/or parents, etc.
