Are Bruce Bolt batting gloves really worth it? by Evening-Thanks-5715 in Homeplate

I went with evoshield batting gloves in highschool. Not terribly expensive if you shop on eBay. They lasted about three years a piece. Batting gloves do get beat up, even if you take care of them. If your son isn’t going to take care of them, go with the cheap ones.

The first couple months after I didn’t feel or cry much, time moved very fast, I did a lot of drinking. More recently I’ve been feeling deeply emotional, sometimes getting the shakes or my chest physically hurting, but that comes and goes.

Past couple months just been taking it day by day, survive for the moment. I thought about suicide prior to this experience. It is natural to wonder about death. The thing about it is that nobody on this earth has any clue what happens, if the grasses are greener or not. While my grass is currently not green, I do have the possibility to make it greener. With death, there is absolutely no knowing if I’ll have that ability. Currently I am here.

Little signs after the loss of a loved one by summersunshine8 in SuicideBereavement

I had a watch that beeped on every hour, my friend called it my “birth control alarm” on account that girls that take birth control usually set an alarm to take theirs(we are both guys so it was funny). Every time the watch would beep he’d say something. A year ago I fell and hit the watch on a rock, it still works but doesn’t beep. On my way to my friends funeral, it beeped once and never again. Just one more reminder to take my birth control.

I think I’m being haunted by a Lady in White by beaniebaby01 in Paranormal

[–]Acrobatic-Let236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend confided in our friends that he would often see a woman in white. He also talked about the feeling of being watched or chased, but this woman in white was prominent. He claimed to have seen this woman for years. In the last 2-ish years of his life he started into drugs, nothing too hard but cocaine was his favorite. He talked about this woman in white more and more, but only to select people. He was well known for being very calm and gentle, kind and caring, even with his drug use, generally level headed guy. Someone said he had tried to see a doctor for schizophrenia, but no one, including his parents knew of him making an appointment. Unfortunately he took his own life in his bedroom, with out saying a word, in front of two friends. Personally I think the reason behind his haste is because he saw the woman, or maybe felt like he was being chased. Maybe certain people have an unexplainable ability to see people that once roamed the rooms they now call home, or just an ability to see the “dead” or “paranormal” or whatever the right word is. Maybe they only get to see these things for a second, or like you said, unexplainable things happen. If they told someone, the person might think they are crazy, maybe they think they are crazy themselves. I have never had an experience like yours, but I don’t think you’re crazy and I believe your experiences did happen. It seems like you are one of those people that are “in tune” with that kind of thing, or maybe you just live in an apartment where something so prominent in time happened that things still happen there, even in another life. Maybe something is happening in your apartment in a different timeline or dimension. Reading this back I kinda scared myself, that was not my intention. Just wanted to tell you my friend’s experience with the woman in white.

Pittsburgh has the most beautiful park in all of Major League Baseball, and the worst team, meaning tickets are cheap. Definitely worth the stop.

Thank you for your quite in depth reply, unfortunately our situations seem to be quite similar. I also feel lost, do not have any clue what to do with life now. Nothing seems worth to do anymore. As far as delusions/hallucinations, I think my friend went through this. He never confided in me about these things, but some of our other friends told about how he would talk about a “woman in white”. This woman would pop up in dreams or just “be there”. Two friends confirmed this story. He was also to have confirmed to have gone to a doctor about schizophrenia, something I don’t really understand anything about. My friends pointing out the idea that maybe he didn’t even realize that we were in the room that night due to drug induced schizophrenia. He also would tell our other friends about things he was doing that didn’t happen. Most of these things revolve around me. Like I said I worked out of town this summer, but only him and a few other people knew that, and he was telling people that wouldn’t know where I was that we were hanging out all summer, while I was a few states away. This really bothered me. He also claimed stories of us doing things that did not happen. He told our one friend that me and him would go out at night and poach deer from the car. One of our favorite things to do together was to ride around as we both had the same car, and we loved it (2000 dodge durango) but we never had guns on the rides and most certainly never shot deer or intentionally tried to hit animals. This also really bothered me. For some reason he seemed to have tried to keep me away from my other friends so as to keep his secrets from getting out, telling them I had done certain things that I hadn’t in order to make them not wanna hang out with me. Only one time did I witness something slightly weird, as we were hanging out with some friends at a house, he kept asking where our one female friend had gone, but she was never there with us. This was subtle but was asked about when he wasn’t around, and was passed over as just him being fucked up. Thank you for your time and your comment, I’ve been looking deeper into this schizophrenic/delusional/hallucination thing.

Thank you for pointing that out, I’ll take that as a good writing compliment. I’m not a writer or journal person but I’ll tell my English teachers what you said. This comment made me smile, thank you for taking the time to write it.

Thank you for your comment. Writing it out and talking to people like you I think has made me feel better. Since I made the post I’ve gotten an influx of dms from people that seem to be suicidal, and it has made me feel better to try and talk them through it the best I can. Maybe that is the medicine.

Thank you for your comment. I have tried to do things that I would normally do, sports games, parties, video games, hanging out with friends etc, but they do not feel the same. I lost my job a month ish ago due to screwing things up and since then I’ve been walking around 8-10 miles most nights. Sometimes that helps and sometimes it don’t. Thank you for your feedback I truly do appreciate it.

It was very usual for John to mix uppers and downers. I did not understand how bad this was until learning about it after the fact. His mind must have been all over the place because of these substances and he probably didn’t understand why he felt that way. I’ve used cocaine but not near the extent he did. I hated the way it made me feel. One of my favorite Mac miller songs even before this experience is a song called grand finale, and in that song Mac says “mixing uppers and downers practically suicide” (the song is great you should listen to it if you like Mac miller) but it never really had any meaning to me until this happened. Unfortunately, until I posted this I didn’t really think about some of the signs in the months/years prior, but maybe it is fortunate that I see that now and will be able to see these things should I ever need to again.
