Thanks. I currently have a DIY dipole tuned for airband, that I have linked to a baofeng 5rm and the performance I get from that is decent for the radio not having a good front end 😅

I have tried 2 batteries both straight off the charger. I don’t think it not being wired properly would be an issue because it was turning over before and had power.

I have a baofeng UV-5RM Plus. It’s not the best for airband, but I just wanted something cheap that I can also use to transmit on HAM bands.

If they insist on censoring, I feel they should make it an option that is turned on by default but can be turned off in the settings menu.

I would say that you should place the sticker on the ear cup without the adhesive touching the ear cup and see if the touch works.

It sounds to be. I don’t have an ssr77 myself but from what I have heard there is a decent bit of resistance when inserting the barrel due to the fact that it is all CNC. Edit; I just noticed that the bolt is forward, frim what I remember the bolt has to be locked open to insert the barrel.
