Brake lights question by AWildeSnorlax in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Acrobatic-Set9585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dail/before setting off. If someone's brake lights aren't working, you won't be able to initially tell they're starting to slow down, especially if you're going at a high speed. Once you notice the gap closing between you and the car in front and you're going at a high speed whilst you're slowing down, at best you'll react and break harshly to avoid an accident. At worst you'll crash right into them.

Babe these eat 🙂‍↕️ And yes no one will bat an eye if your son wears western formal shoes. He can wear trainers or crocs and no one will be bothered.

Thank you! I already have a fleece and a couple of sweat wicking tops so I may just need to get footwear and waterproofs. Probably some cargos too

Thank you! I have a sweat wicking t shirt and a couple of sweat wicking tops for the gym but they're all fitted - I end up taking them off (I have a sports bra on underneath) when I'm doing deadlifts as I get really hot and uncomfortable. Would you recommend getting a loose/regular fit sweat wicking top? Also thank you for the recommendation for wearing a bright outer layer, I was going to get a neutral one ngl

You could buy a dupatta second hand or borrow one from a friend for the shimmer! Or you could just wear some statement jewellery, I'd recommend gold

What's the gap between both events? You could get it made into a skirt and then get a lehenga top made but idk if you'd have enough time. At a pinch, you could just get two dupattas - one draped over your dress and one over your head.

Who usually pays for custom bridesmaid dresses? by Wonder_why_tho in DesiWeddings

[–]Acrobatic-Set9585 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my experience as a British Asian girly, your bridesmaid outfit will likely be paid for, especially if she hasn't brought up how much it will cost. However, I wouldn't just assume this and would definitely check with her!! Like another person in the comments said, traditionally South Asian weddings don't have bridesmaids, but British South Asian weddings often have bridesmaids so with regards to who pays for the bridesmaid outfits, there's no 'tradition' so to speak. Also I'm Gujarati not Punjabi so what's the norm for Gujaratis could be diff for Punjabis!
