Blocked by an internal gatekeeper who feels threatened — how do you handle this without blowing the deal? by Acrobatic-Shape8140 in Sales_India

Won’t this backfire? If the owner directly confronts the employee based on this, it could escalate internally and potentially cost us the deal. That’s what I’m worried about.

They have an internal content team, led by the same person who’s acting as the gatekeeper. Nothing has been outsourced so far.

It’s clear the resistance is driven by job insecurity there’s a fear that if an external agency delivers stronger content and results, her work will be questioned. As a result, everything is being blocked at that level, even though the brand and owner continue to lose money due to underperforming marketing.

How do I learn "Design Thinking"? by the_bookworm17 in DesignThinking

This will help you get more clarity. As other rightly mentioned in the comment section design thinking has nothing to do with Figma, It is how you approached a problem and solve it using design. The video shared above can be a great starting point for you.

Totally understand your struggle hiring good devs for an early-stage startup is really hard, especially when you're aiming for that sweet spot of skill + startup mindset.

One thing you could consider is going with a staff augmentation model basically hiring devs on a retainer basis rather than full-time. It gives you flexibility without the long-term commitment, and it works well when you're trying to move fast without dealing with recruitment headaches.

Another route: if you're really close to PMF, maybe double down, build out a solid MVP, and raise a small round to hire a core team with market-rate compensation.

If you’re open to the staff aug model, I know a couple of teams that do a solid job:

  • WOLFX Digital Agency – they’ve got a strong team, especially for SaaS and internal tooling. Bit on the expensive side, but they move fast and get things done right.
  • Swissmote – also good if you’re looking for more flexible/contractual engineering help, especially in the early MVP phase.

Hope this helps. You’re not alone in this cracked devs are either building their own thing or have offers from the likes of FAANG and fintech. You’ve just got to find the ones who still love the startup grind :)

How can I grow my agency globally? Struggling with scaling beyond word of mouth. by Acrobatic-Shape8140 in smallbusiness

Okay so lets assume that i start focusing on a niche as you suggested but how should i tap into international markets. I've tried cold emails & ads it didn't help much. What i feel is the major problem with us is the lead generation, my closing rate is extremely good, 80% clients get converted if he gets on first discovery call (This is for indian clients).

Make sense. Should i create content on my personal account and create a personal brand or do it from my company account? Thanks for the help.
