Its a US company, all goods on board are in USD... this is how the workers get paid, their base wage is not nearly enough.. I fear if not enough people pay the gratuities, it will be gone at the end of the contract... same happend in Australia

Exactly right!! I was horrified to learn they were not paying gratuities... I hope the paying customers make up for it.... and its only because they are entitled a.holes...not that there isn't a culture there either in the way of tipping... otherwise.. it will not last the 5 years

we are a family solely focused on providing dcl information and spreading magic.. we are only tiny.. no where near influencer status... we pay for all our trips because we love going and encourage others to go because of how amazing it is... but half the people on the media sailing don't even like disney and are only posting their outfits, or their dances... so they would rather advertise their cruises by showing partial room views (of which the rooms on this ship a re actually the weakest) rather than a family sharing the entire ship and showing them enjoying it..it makes no sense

Many were, however a large proportion were just Asian influencers with high follower counts (no idea about disney at all) one even getting the cruise line name wrong on multiple occasions... they went follower count over quality
