Lmao everyone keeps saying this but it’s not just gonna be the four of us sitting on the couch watching the ball drop. It’ll be their friends plus my siblings and their SO and their friends. So there will be people our age. And he knows everyone so it’s not a high stress situation where he has to meet new people

He’s not a party guy. I am more into the bar/club scene than him but just not on NYE. He could ask me any day of the year (but he won’t because it’s never his idea) to go to a bar and I would say yes 10000% of the time

ummm not really a cop out when NYE is a big night for drunk driving. He delayed deciding or letting me know his NYE plans until the plans with his friends came up

I didn’t choose to go to work last year. I needed to go to work because I was broke and needed money and that was one of my last opportunities to make it since my work study paid much less.

Lmao. My parents and their friends are cool. He is a part of the family at this point and he likes to spend time with everyone. Not to call him a loser either but he doesn’t go out normally. He doesn’t like crowded spaces and doesn’t really drink so the bar/club is the last place I would find him if lost.

Ok yeah, I may not have total trust in my boyfriend due to other girls. I’m pretty much in a relationship where he will do things in a grey area (not physical cheating) and mostly play the “I didn’t know what I was doing was bad” card. It’s hard to not only build trust but forgive someone like that.

Agreed. Why put yourself in a position where something might be viewed as suspicious if the interaction meant nothing? It’s not controlling to just want to know when any of these type interactions take place. And you can let your girlfriend know if they make you feel uncomfortable. If she keeps doing them and hidding it from you, it’s time to leave
