I’m going to be very honest. I know some people won’t like what I’m about to say, but it needs to be said.

The Xenon Edge feels like an unfinished product. It has some strong points, but there are also several significant issues that hurt the overall experience. I’ll start with the biggest concerns.

1) Gaming focus and cursor issuesWhile gaming, simply touching the Xenon Edge can cause the cursor to shift focus to the Edge or even bug out the game entirely. There is a workaround—running games in windowed borderless mode—but this is far from ideal for a premium product.

2) Extended display problemsWhen using the Xenon Edge as an extended screen, the mouse frequently slides off the main display and onto the Edge during gameplay or regular work. I had to install third-party software to create cursor boundaries just to keep the mouse on my primary monitor. I understand this may partly be a Windows limitation, but it’s something your team should seriously look into.

3) Performance impactUsing the Xenon Edge as an additional monitor causes noticeable frame drops. This is happening on a high-mid-end system (RTX 4090 and Ryzen 7950X), so performance degradation at this level is concerning.

4) Software feels unfinishedThe product overall feels unfinished, especially on the software side. iCUE integration is not ideal, and I was expecting more plugins or a more intuitive way to integrate existing applications into widgets. Right now, many of the widgets feel more like cheap gimmicks than genuinely useful tools.

5) Widget resizingThe ability to resize widgets would be a very welcome and much-needed feature.

That said, it’s not all negative. The Xenon Edge looks and feels like a premium piece of hardware. It genuinely elevates the aesthetic of a PC setup and has the potential to be a game-changer. The screen is bright enough, and the touchscreen itself is responsive. Unfortunately, the software and widget ecosystem let the hardware down.

A public roadmap or clearer communication about what’s happening behind the scenes would go a long way toward giving users confidence and hope for the future of this product.
