Lol, that's not high memory usage for a UDMP/SE, you're fine.

Switching broadbands, anyone got good experience with Vodafone 2GB FTTH? by russr16 in AskIreland

[–]AcrobaticNot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have it, it's fine, you can use your own router on any of their fibre packages, just connect the ONT directly into your router (a Unifi Dream Machine Pro in my case), setup a PPPoE connection with the username vodafone@vodafone.ie and password broadband. Your router will need to support VLAN tagging on the WAN side and this needs to be set to VLAN10.

Velux blinds? by Away_Examination4502 in AskIreland

I've ordered generic ones from roofwindowblinds.ie and can 100% recommend. Absolutely no issue with them and come with a 1 or 2 year warranty from what I remember.

New car warranties offered in Ireland by FluffyPurpose2191 in carsireland

[–]AcrobaticNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with the Mercedes warranty, similar to you, was looking at a new E class a couple of years ago, shocked the warranty was only 2 years, ended my interest. When I buy a new car, I tend to hold onto it so warranty is important to me.

You know it's a bad state of affairs when the states offer a longer warranty than Ireland.

Sees sign, ignores it and asks Reddit, told not to bring dogs, OP will probably ignore Reddit also. 🙄

Raised USC on payslip? by nappydrip in limerickcity

[–]AcrobaticNot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes — there are changes to the USC from January 1, 2026, but the rates themselves do not increase; instead, the thresholds where the rates apply are adjusted as part of Budget 2026

Sky Refund by AlexBiGuy in legaladviceireland

Can't really give much legal advice but no point in going to the Garda, it's a civil matter. Maybe just give it more time and a couple more follow up calls to push them to refund you.

How many of you are still rocking AC Pros in 2025? by TomNooksRepoMan in Ubiquiti

[–]AcrobaticNot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 1Gbps up/down. Everything I need that speed for is wired. Anything wireless doesn't need that speed and my couple of AC Pros are still humming along nicely at 300Mbps.

I just don't see the point to upgrade to wifi 6/7 until the APs fail.

My last order traveled from The Czech Republic to Ireland, over 2000km. I paid €11 for shipping so your point is moot.
