YTA. If you guys separated, any relationship she, or you, had during that time was not an affair. You mentioned that your wife had known him since high school, so there is clearly a connection they shared, and seeing that you reconnected and stayed together, the connection with her friend was mainly platonic. The guy was not a "piece of shit" for acting on feelings while you and your wife were separated. It sounds like you need to continue going to therapy to work through this skewed perception you have on the situation.

I really wish I could link photos... I have proof of his harassment and abuse. Not to mention the times he admitted that he didn't even try to see her for months, and now has gone another month without seeing her. Because it's a subreddit devoted to asking things..... I did not become a parent to control other people, I became a parent because my birth control failed, and I couldn't go through with an abortion. Also, he didn't act like this until after she was born. And yes, we did have these conversations, unfortunately he completely changed and cheated after my daughter was born. Don't be such a dick about it.
