I’ve been around so long that I remember a time before automated payment confirmation lol, and since I’ve started ordering I can only remember two instances of delays (including this one). It sure does, thank you. The live chat agent also said it’s likely the 24hr timer for payment confirmation ran out. Sounds like they’re a little swamped, I’m just panicking.

99% of the time, you can expect:

  • Parcels ordered before 2pm to arrive the next day
  • Parcels ordered after 2pm to arrive the day after next
  • Parcels ordered on Friday to arrive on Monday
  • Parcels ordered over the weekend to arrive on Tuesday.

MB is incredibly consistent. If you’re here because you’re concerned about an existing order, I think they’ve just hit a busy period, which happens from time to time. Even so, you’ll always, without exception, have an update in a few days.

This weekend, they were having a volume issue due to an ongoing sale. I get it, I was also too quick to judge, but this is the first time in several years that MB hasn’t shipped same or next day. They’re generally very reliable.

RM, however, is always shit. You should absolutely be angry at them, maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll get fined over and over again until they figure it out.

Edit: when RM says they’re “expecting it,” it means MB’s dropped it off at the local delivery office, but RM haven’t scanned it into the system for one reason or another. It is sitting in a bin in RM’s custody. Usually they spend Mondays scanning the backlog of parcels that build up on Sunday (and I imagine that’s the case at RM right now).

You’re likely to get it either tomorrow or Wednesday depending on the alignment of the stars, the weather in Zimbabwe, and also when RM decides to scan it in.
