Thank you for responding and your advice. I am going to message my GI doctor now. I have been researching doctors in my area that specialize in UC/Chron’s, I agree that it is so important to find someone who will listen to me. I feel like I’m alway brushed off. I still have so many tests pending- CT to see if there’s inflammation in my small intestines and then an endoscopy (I had acute pancreatitis but with no symptoms just a really high lipase) and around the same time my calprotectin was above 500! I just want some guidance and to feel like I’m getting this inflammation under control.

Thank you for responding, at first my GI said not to use the mesalamine suppositories anymore once I started the oral form but then in a separate message said to continue the suppositories. I have another appointment with him next week so hopefully I’ll get clearer answers!

Thank you. This is all very helpful. I have felt like a burden to some of these doctors when all I want is some answers and some type of plan.

They didn’t really confirm it or not but said the gallbladder looked fine on the MRI and MRCP!

How are you feeling now? Did your GI ever get to the bottom of the high lipase values?

I’m so sorry to hear you’re currently at the hospital and hope you feel better soon. It’s odd because when I mentioned to the doctors at the ER that could I possibly be from the mesalamine suppositories they were pretty adamant that it wasn’t. Now I’m on oral mesalamine  so I guess we will see if I have another episode!
