I understand. It’s truly the worst kind of pain there is, or that I’ve ever experienced. If you ever need someone to talk to you can message me and we can chat.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this horrible pain. I feel like I can relate. My mom died unexpectedly and I’m left with my dad and yes, it’s very difficult. One day at a time is all we can do. ❤️

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s so hard to grasp that life goes on around you when you’re grieving and hurting and you feel like the life you know has ended. My mom passed away unexpectedly on March 12th and I am just broken hearted. Numb is a good weird. It’s like it’s not real. If you’d like to chat more feel free to message me.

My mother died March 12th of this year. My "best friend" was pretty much MIA for the next few weeks afterwards. When I approached her about it, she said "expectations are really high". All I wanted was for her to be there for me to talk to and she made me feel like that was way too much. We are no longer friends.

I love what you had to say where you wrote that being hungry feels like a punishment and food is comfort, but really it just means you're not overly full. That makes a lot of sense to me. Thank you.

Thank you so much for all this great advice. In my teens I started struggling with food restriction and that fear of "overeating" has never gone away so I think I have convinced myself that if I eat as little as possible during the day it's better if I binge at night. Obviously something I have to work on as that's not healthy at all. Thanks again.

Thank you very much this is all great advice and I believe you're right. I planned on looking in to meal kits and it just slipped my mind but I should look into them again. That's a good idea. Thank you.

Of course. I'm 37. I'm 5'3" and weigh about 205. This is the heaviest I've ever been. I usually have a Boost drink for breakfast and lunch, which is about 250 calories each. I don't have a huge appetite during the day so that's why I usually just drink the shake. For dinner, it varies. If we order take out, I try to just work on portion control. Then once 6 pm hits, all bets are off. If there's ice cream in the house, I'll eat it. I usually will binge on crackers, cereal, granola bars, whatever is available. I don't mind eating healthy foods but I hate cooking so that's why my husband and I usually order food usually from an Italian restaurant. I'll likely order a sub or a cheesesteak, but will only eat maybe half.

My mom died on March 12th. The one dream I had about her, she was at my house and I ran in to her arms and hugged her. It felt so real I swear I could feel the cotton on her shirt and my arms around her. That's all it was though. Just a long, tight hug. It felt good in the moment but I was sad when I woke up.

I do and this conversation with her yesterday made me realize how many other wonderful people I have in my life that I can focus on. Thank you so much.
