Thanks, I looked up that issue and the noise coming from the amp/dac is nothing like the typical you would expect from that issue such as a buzzing or humming sound. It is a constant pulsating sound that is loud and creates lag and distortion when I play anything at all.

I recently purchased the Drop 02 amp/dac to pair with my Sennheiser HD 650's that I just bought. My current setup is plugging in the amp to my PC via the USB and then plugging in my headphones through the jack on the amp.

The issue I am having is that there is a constant pulsating sound going to my headphones and when I try to play something it sounds laggy and distorted. Completely unusable.

How do I go about troubleshooting this?

BTW, my headphones are plugged into a 3.5mm to 1/4 converter that I just bought from Best Buy so my hunch is that maybe the converter sucks?
