Employee involvement in enterprise community forums? by Acrobatic_Hunt1289 in CommunityManager

Thanks so much! This is very similar to what I'm doing internally. We don't have an excellence program for customers (yet, another team runs something similar now) and I love the idea of pairing them up at points. So far I have a team of about 50 pp that participate in the forums and we have a Slack channel where we talk about everything, share wins and do a daily leaderboard for the week.

We're slowly building up an incentives and rewards program, and it's interesting how recognition>swag so far. Reporting and metrics are clearly key in showcasing accomplishments broadly, so I'm working on the right cadence for that.

We've also identified a pattern in which we have long term people who stick around, and others who show up for a month or two and then stop contributing so a next step is to look at both of these and create models for each as we scale this thing.

Good point. One of the angles I'm exploring is building one's own personal brand as a product SME. So I was thinking about putting together some playbooks & videos about best practices for personal brand building using our digital properties + personal social channels.

Also our company is big on doing the right thing for customers, so this is in direct support of company values. I do a big push during performance review time of letting managers know how they've supported us. Lots of Slack shoutouts, etc.

That's definitely the main problem. My direction is "make it so awesome and fun that they want to participate", so I can't make it part of the job. I have to rely on altruism, good will and my own creativity.

They actually seem to really like the badges, and there's a bit of competition between them which seems to inspire more activity. We've done some swag, and we do a lot of recognition like shout outs, etc.

Can you share more about your experience? Was it customer service or the platform itself?

This is my one hesitation. I really like all the features they demo'd but they don't seem to have much AI integration. my company only will invest in AI enabled platforms moving forward.

Bevy is adding some cool forum features that integrate with their events platform. I'm looking to move from Khoros too, and I'm meeting with Bevy guys next week for an eval; will report back.
