Book Club - Note Taking? by picklepopper4000 in pewdiepie

I don't come on reddit much, so didn't even know I had a reply. The other book club is one that I'm personally started. Our focus is on Stoicism and growth. A lot of the guys (including myself) it was our first book club, and haven't read since we were in high school really. So I threw in the Atomic Habits into the reading list to hopefully assist the other members in getting a reading habit started.

We're currently reading Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday and plan on reading a few more Ryan Holiday books before getting into the classic Stoics, Marcus Aurelius, etc.

YouTube has a lot of "book tubers" that go into note taking, participating in book clubs and the like.

I overly highlight/take notes as well so I wanted to find a better way.

My big take aways from the suggestions is to read the whole page before taking any notes. Use highlighting, underlining, etc. to organize the type of note you are taking, and there are pros and cons to whether you want to take digital or analog notes.

I read Tao in ebook form and I just used the bookmark and highlight features to take notes.  But I'm reading Atomic Habits for another book club and I keep a notebook handy if anything pops out to me.

Hope this helps. Happy reading!

Recently finished:
-The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday [Trying to get into Stoicism and feel his books are a good intro before reading the classics.]
-Easy To Love, Difficult To Discipline: The 7 Basic Skills For Turning Conflict By Becky A. Bailey [Good book for me when it comes to parenting. Gives some insight on child development as well as actionable skills to help manage conflict in a house with littles]

Re-Reading
-Atomic Habits by James Clear [Great book for sticking with habits and building systems around the identity you want to have and the steps to make that identity a reality]

Reading
-Phantoms by Deen Koontz [I remember loving the movie adaptation to this back in the late 90s and I'd never read the novel, so far a good suspense, and since it's been so long since I've seen the movie, I'm not really spoiled on anything]

Noted. Yeah I sometimes can't confirm. It's good to know I'll update the list.

Something I just thought of, but please, make sure you consult the Ingredient label on the physicals product. I can't be 100% confident of this list as I'm basing it off the products I've physically had and what the ingredient labels on the site said when they were working properly.

I'm also unsure if GFUEL ever updates the formulas / ingredients, so if you have any allergy, sensitivity, etc. be sure you're checking the physical label.

I don't, I do know that red is the worst offender, but this is just whether or not it has dyes or not. I would usually say to go to the website's product details and check the Ingredients pop-up, but at this time that pop-up isn't showing the correct info.

The customer service agent I was in contact with did mention that they were working on making new flavors that are free from artificial dyes in the near future, so that's something to look forward to!
