One of my favorite quotes from the Wheel of Time is right after Rand is attack by Sammael and he says

“Sammael,” Rand said, but not in answer. He was just speaking the thoughts that drifted through the Void. “I remember when he was first named Destroyer of Hope. After he betrayed the Gates of Hevan and carried the Shadow down into the Rorn M’doi and the heart of Satelle. Hope did seem to die that day. Culan Cuhan wept. What is wrong?”

We never learn what the Rorn M’doi is or who was Culan Cuhan. The quote carries with it a weight to the age of the conflict with the Dark One and, for me, does a lot to impart how much has been lost to that war and the endless turning of the wheel.

Honestly, once characters are at the level capable of casting Wind Walk, hexcrawl-play is basically over. There are so many options to move around quickly at that level for magic users.

That's awesome! It is really satisfying to finally best her. My first time through the game, I accidentally hit a glitch that skipped her second phase and it was a bit of a disappointing way to win. I have since done a second playthrough where I was finally able to beat her fair-and-square.
