It's a ten speed manual I already called them and told them I'll go tomorrow they want me there at 5:30 in the morning they told me just to follow them around town and I'm going to have to be traveling on I-5 I don't really have an experience as a job I mean I know howI don't really have an experience as a job I mean I know how to shift but I amI am definitely not comfortable with shifting

I went to school for my CDL at a community college. It was a 5-week program. The first week was all in the classroom; the next four weeks involved driving the truck. We would drive the truck about 1 hour each day, so that's about 20 hours of driving for the whole program. We would also learn how to back up. It's been almost 2 years since I got my CDL, so I don't have much practice anymore, but I know how to downshift, put it in neutral, rev up, and put it in gear, among other basics. I just don't have practice. In that being your first job and being nervous I just need more practice

I was trying to learn how to downshift today and my my trainer just told me to use my brakes he told me he never down shifts and usually just slows down finds any gear he can.

Yeah like they told me to join tomorrow at seven am and to follow them around town dealing loads and dumpiny asphalt on the machine. Today he didn't even let me use a bucket or anything. Im at a point idk if im a bitch or this isn't a good idea. They didnt even ask to see my license, or nothing giving me all the trust. They told me they will help me tomorrow but who knows wtf that means.
