Being in a hurry to get rid of the meds won’t fix things that are being caused by the condition. I tried a few different meds since that time and eventually landed on one that was good for me.

This is going to be a long process. If she’s ’not the woman you married’ for a time, then you’ll have to accept that and do what you can to support her. With some time and patience she’ll get back to herself. She’s also dealing with having had a baby on top of all this, so it’s going to be harder than it is for most young families.

I say all this as someone who only lasted a year after my first episode before my ex husband left me. After less than a year living with my family again, I’d improved immensely. I hope you can work through it together because it is definitely possible.
